I use 1:500, mainly because I just always have and I tend to keep my account fairly small so it helps.

As far as I am aware it is pretty much impossible to withdraw profit made on the bonuses that brokers give you and so in my opinion you may as well use a demo account if you are unable or unwilling to invest real money.

yes you will need a broker to trade, i'm sure there is probably a way to do it without but i think it would make it a lot more complicated than it already is.
