Are you addicted to trading?

Which, coincidentally, is what usually happens with a gambler's money.
Forex requires a lot of hard work, people shouldn't have any illusions about that.
I think not only about hardwork but also smart work, forex trading is easy but making profit from trading is not easy at all, required good understanding with the market and as good trader I think they will trade on trend that giving best possibility to making profit

I have met a few traders who appeared to be addicted to trading and even though they were not professional traders they tended to make their daily decisions based on their trading and often cancelled or rescheduled planed events during the week due to trading.

I think they did that because they were not profitable and believed that they need to be glued to their screens in order to finally turn around and generate profits on a few trades. They seemed addicted to it which influenced their lives in a negative way. You always read about the positives in trading, but very few mention the negative impacts a lot of people suffer (besides losing your capital).

Any thoughts?
Yes, I imagine trading is as close to going to the casino as you can...lol

Many of the traders are thinking along the same lines as they want to make the most of their trading income. And if they are serious about it then they will be able to make some good amounts of profits :)

I'm addicted to charts, previously I was addicted to trading but now I've control over this habit. I only trade when I see a setup but I spend too much time on forex charts.

Forex trading is definitely addictive... especially when you're on the right side. :)
Good addition :) Actually I guess when youre on the wrong side you feel even a greater urge to go on anyway. Its like you think its going to get better after a few trades. And then you lose all your balance :/

That's a good point actually. When you're doing it right, you have no reason to stop. If you're not doing it right you wish to learn and you become more and more ambitious. At least that was the case with me. Some people continue to make the same mistakes, others learn and become better. Not all outcomes are negative.

Yeah, hoping for the price to turn is exhausting. But nothing a good stop loss can't handle. :)
