Difference between forex trading and stock trading?Are they part of the same thing?

You earn dividends trading stocks while on forex you can earn only on price swings. Moreover because of liquidity in forex market its harder to predict currency moves there because they are more random and erratic. Stock trading also allows your to apply different knowledge like corporate earnings analysis, tweets from industry experts or CEO's, etc. In forex trading you should embrace all economy while in stocks trading its only one or several companies you target.

One other significant difference is that when you buy a company's stocks, you are effectively buying a part (albeit not a big part) ownership of the company. This is obviously not the case with forex.
