I'd not say the elections didn't affect the market at all. did you see shadow of the candle for 11/04/20 on the daily chart on eurusd to understand what happened at elections time. i didn't trade that day. and i was sure eurusd would has downward correction but in fact it went up, i'd have lost.

Gold now is showing great bullish trend. i suppose the price'll rise up to 1968.0 in the nearest future. will see.

I trade every time when the market needs and calls me to open a position :) actually I will trade e.g. gold if I have a chance there, even if I don't like gold.

The starting balance should be big enough to open 5 lot size and not be afraid to wait when 50 pips of drawdown and small enough to make you don't worry about this money. So $2-3k is a good decision.
