no trade with v1.3 at LightForex this night.... if he had opened one he would had hit the S/L.....
at the other forum (BabyPips, same PT is) there was a swedish girl, she hit´s the S/L with v1.21???...... but why? could it be it´s not the best thing to open MD within his trading hours???
here´s what she said:
Forgot to start metatrader until 16min after trading time.. MD opened a long trade directly. (her trade was opened at 22.16pm, this is the first hour v1.3 is using)... Did 1.21 get this long time as well? Mine has hit SL
so it looks like MD v1.21 does not like to be opened within the first hour of v1.3 too.
So be careful with this one

Wendy is using 1.30, not 1.21. 1.30 opens trades at 4 pm. She hit stop loss last night with 1.30.

I'm demoing 1.30 by not opening the platform until 5 pm to see if that will be a sort of work around solution to avoid those trades altogether. However, that could be inconvenient for many people. So far, all the trades opened during 4-5 pm have been losses or break even.

I've seen it go as high as about 1.5% in a losing trade and then recover and make a profit. Once it goes higher than 1.5% negatively, (approx) it continued into losses. Rather than letting it go to stop loss, I've set myself a dollar figure based upon percentage of the total account to manually close out the trade at approx. 3%. From what I've read, the pros all suggest not risking more than 2-3%, and this is much better to close it out at the point of no return than to lose significantly more. I don't believe in letting it run to stop loss to see if it's going to recover. It doesn't have to go to stop loss to close out a negative trade on its own. I've seen it close itself out with huge losses way before stop loss. I set myself a plan to monitor every trade and cut losses when it's best to do so.

I'm on Babypips forum and read Nirvana's MD forum as well to learn as much as I can.

Anyway, unusuall thing. I think every MD Trader should decide by himself how to trade with him. Closing manually or not and risk size. Only a live accounting using manually close, and different settings comparing each trade would bring light into this discussion what´s more effective over a period.
Closing manually is hard to do over here in Europe because v1.3 Trading Window is between 22.00pm and 01.00am so a bit too late for watching especially when you have family.
I will soon get into business! Ya, had today my meeting and it went absolutely positive. Within next days I will get this guy I mentioned before into business using v1.21 hopefuly MD will proceed trading like he had done before. So when this happens and he will have positive results with this I´m in. So great news but, Risk factor is do they provide still v1.21 with authentication and will the market go with MD..... time will tell.

No, you're incorrect. Wendy has been using 1.30. She was asking if anyone using 1.21 opened a long trade. I've been following Wendy on Babypips, and we've had the same trades, but I switched back to 1.21 and she didn't.

MD 1.21 never opened trades before 5 pm. Only 1.30 has. I had 1.21 live yesterday and it didn't open a trade.
