Greetings fellow traders!

We've been in the Managed Account space since 2012 and although our focus has been primarily on institutional clients, we're looking for feedback from the retail community.

There's no denying that crypto and meme coins are capturing a lot of attention as these stories of outsized returns and overnight fortunes are indeed captivating. With the changing sentiment and policies related to crypto, we're also super bullish on the space as a whole.

What we're trying to discover however, is whether there's still any appetite among retail traders for long-standing "boring" strats on the fx side that aim to generate around 3-5%/mth in returns.

When we first opened our doors, these kinds of strategies would have been elevated to "holy grail" status but we recognize that times have changed and these sorts of returns may no longer be appealing outside of institutional investors.

We're plotting our next steps and would love to hear the perspective of individual traders.

Much thanks!

Taking the low estimate of 3% per month, compounding that monthly would be more than 42% annual gain. If you have a plan that can truly make such returns reliably, hedge funds and other investment groups (and even some governments) would be in a bidding war to lock up exclusive rights to your methods.

Hi Pharaoh,

Your point about the attractiveness of such returns to hedge funds or larger institutions is well-taken, and it's precisely why the trade team primarily serves that market.

What we're trying to determine however is whether these types of steady, lower-volatility strategies still resonate with individual traders in an era dominated by high-risk, high-reward assets like crypto.

I understand what you're saying regarding exclusivity and there's always a risk that the trade team could be locked into such an arrangement with a larger firm, but thankfully for now, that's not the case.

The general feedback we've received so far from retail traders is that these prospective returns "aren't high enough" for the speculative portion of their portfolios. We were quite surprised by this response, but acknowledge that we may not have a solid understanding of what's important to today's retail trader (hence the motivation to find out).

I appreciate you taking the time to respond.
