As a former employee of Craig Karlis I have one thing to say. Run! Run as far away from this man as you can. You're more likely to get your money back if you were to light it on fire and burn it to a crisp than if you were to invest your money with him. He has screwed more people over than you can imagine. Stay clear.

Hi, I saw some speculation about Boston Trading and Research being the same company as Tradex Swiss AG, and I can tell you now-they are. this is my research on the matter...
This company offers a managed fund: www.btrfx.com

They dont have any names on the website but i can tell you now its run by Craig Karlis.
If that name rings a bell its because he used to run Tradex Swiss AG, who were banned from the NFA after they lost $5million of client money while being investigated for practicing unlicensed.

This is the link to a brochure on an Arabic website which shows that Boston Tradex and Tradex Swiss are the same company with a new name: http://btrfxarabia.com/BTR_BROCHURE.pdf

This is a link to one of the old tradex websites: http://www.tradexindo.com/aboutus.htm

If you compare the names on the BTR brochure with those on the Swiss Tradex site you will see the connection between the 2 companies. Now contrast this connection with a statement made by Mr. Karlis in a press release:

"there are absolutely no direct or indirect relationship between Tradex Swiss AG and Boston Trading and Research LLC." - 29 August 2007. (Craig Karlis)

I'm sorry but it actually angers me that these people are deceiving people to stay in business. Someone I know is an IB for them and when he advertises their services he completely omits the fact that BTR used to be Tradex. The worst part is no one is aware of this connection and as a result, BTR has managed to raise a large amount of capital, currently in their fund, without even being NFA approved. They claim to be getting NFA approved sometime soon, but I don't see that happening legitimately.

So be warned.

The same group of people working out of the same office (100 Frankling Street, Boston, 7th Floor), now go by the name "Boston Trading & Research LLC," as well as "Boston Trading Technologies."

To the Gentlemen from Canada and San Diego. Go and try to maked a withdrawal right not from Tradex and see how long it takes. I am sure you will give it a "scam" rating after you learn the truth. Try using live help , its more like dead help. Try calling after the market is closed. They no customer service , no tool free number , if you neeed to wire out you need to fax the request to Switzerland. Make the CEO angry enough and he will use profanity on you. What good is your so called 8 - 10 per month if the money is non recoverable. You will never see these folks at a Vegas Trade Show, their small potatoes and from my view , it looks like another REFCO.

I am trading with them since 3 months and never had a better service from any broker. No slippage for nothing requote are done very fast and no delay. Stops are executed with no delay or requotes. I had trade with GCI and FXSOL, and also with the dead Refco. They are far away from these companies and I am recommending them for all what they offer with Metatradernand tight spread and also interbanking market.

I have been trading with these guys for about a year. I havew not had a problem with them at all. I used FXSOL and FXCM befroe and was slipped and messed with by them much more. I think the tradexecutioner is very good. the charting is far superior to anyone else. I normally would not fill something out on a forum like this but I feel they are getting slammed for no reason.

Dear Mr. Nicolaas Jansen van Rensburg, CEO of Tradex Swiss AG.
I have the guts to approach you directly, however you did not respond to my numerous emails. I have been trying for over 2 weeks to withdraw a significant amount of funds(5 digit) from my account. To date I have not received these funds, nor have I received a proper explanation from you or any of your staff as to why I have not received my funds. I would be more then happy to deal with you directly to resolve this matter. Please contact me at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
Daniel

I have been with Tradex since mid March 07. I am using their managed account program and I am very happy with the return so far. Not a single time there was a lost. The person in charge of Trading our account is very cousious. He trades once a week and eventhough we are not making 10%/month but making 6-8%/month. To me this is a very good return. When I red the reviews in this site I was very surpirse. I don't know much about their office and the persons in charge but the costomer service has been satisfactory. I also checked the NFA site. It seems that there was an issue with Tradex group LLC, the group that has the same address (different floor) with the group that I ahve an account with. I didn't like their recent changing of their Web site either but since I am making money and so as my other two friends, I have decided to keep my account and see what the future will bring us. If they are not scam so I made the right decision and if they are that is the risk I am taking. I will update my review in few months.
