What is Trader On Chart?
Trader On Chart is a very useful tool in Forex trading. It is more than easy to set your trade settings and this program will open long or short trade with just a simple click of your mouse on the green or red button.
The stop-loss and take-profit values will be set automatically on the trade and it can even have its own unique trailing-stop value.

Its a neat tool, a suggestion for improvement is to make it NOT chart dependent, that is, currently ONE ea attaches to ONE chart and trades that currency, so if u need to trade a lot of pairs, then u have to attach same ea to multiple charts.

With v500, MT4 allows dragging and dropping of SL/TP directly on the chart too, without opening that trade. It also allows one click trading, which makes this nifty tool that some brokers provide useless.

So hope the developer will consider to improve this tool to allow us to choose the currency (via a drop down box, rather than detect the currency chart that its attached to and got fixed that way) then trade using the panel that the EA has pop up. The SL/TP and TS is all sent to server with the trade anywhere, so there is no need for EA to monitor the trades, it just makes life a bit more fun and easier to trade. With this upgrade, I wont need 20 charts or even 4 charts (as shown in the video), I just need ONE!

The new MT4 Build 500 has similar One Click Feature like this. I'm trying to see the importance of this EA in view of the new MT4 Build 500 Features

Hey there,

the TOC was more useful before the MT4 Build 500, but its still a great tool because you can preset SL and TP.

Also TOC repeats trading action for 5 times in case of an error.
When opening a trade, the price can change or broker server may refuse it for many reasons. Also it can experience timeouts, minimum distance conflicts or various other errors. In such case most of the EA's simply fail to open trade, but this is not the case with TOC. It is set to repeat the same trading action 5 times with a delay of 1-5 seconds between them. This is recommended by MQL4 programming rules and TOC obeys them by following each recommendation.

I agree with you if this tool is meant for market orders. Since I subscribed to signal feeds, I am thinking of using it for limit orders. Following a daily signal to place limit orders, chart is not impt, usually I just simply trade off the price quotation panel, by clicking on that currency. Once the order is filled, then this tool may help to set TS or modify SL/TP but since its per chart specific, its kinda of hard when u had like 12 pairs of limit orders.

V 500 allows me to drag and drop (I have yet to try it), but this v500 feature is also chart specific, it only knows how to manage orders which are to that chart's cur pair. (I think its possible with limit orders to use this MT4 feature though just by dragging the specific order which appears on that chart, and modifying its SL/TP that way). Setting TS is an issue though, so I am not sure how the dev will upgrade this tool further. If its not cur specific then MT4 itself by trading off the price data panel, its good enough esp for Day signal traders like me. I just set and forget everyday after reading the signals and modifying my current hit trades or setting up new limit orders. Basically I managed like abt 20-35 orders per month, so this tool wont be helpful for me. Coz I cant even placed limit order and setup TS with it.

BTW: Have u tried with v 500 setting of TS? Does the drag/drop works with TS? I am still pretty old school and have to set aside some time to experiment this feature on a demo acct. Would be neat if there was a video of how this can be done. Please anyone that can find a video let me have the link. MT4 community only has the graphic 2D version (non interactive or video based) (ie pls send link of MT4 v 500 features with video, not text or just graphic capture)
