• KC — coffee futures contract. The contract size is 37 500 pounds (around 17 tons). One tick is 0.05 and costs $18.75. Coffee market has a higher liquidity than many other commodity markets because of the high demand for coffee;
• GOLD — gold futures. Contract volume: 100 troy ounces (around 3.11 kg). Minimum price step: $0.10 per ounce ($10.00 per contract). The price of gold usually grows during economic crises. Historically, the inflation growth is also usually accompanied by the growth of gold price;
• NASDAQ-100 — futures mini contract for NASDAQ-100 stock index. The contract size is calculated by multiplying the current value of the index by 20 USD. 1 tick is 0.25 and costs $5. NASDAQ is an American OTC market that specializes in hi-tech companies shares (electronics, software etc.);
• # INTC (Intel Corporation) — an American producer of electronic devices and computer components, including microprocessors, chipsets, etc. Volume: $59.4 billion as of 2016.
• # PEPSI – PepsiCo is an American manufacturer of non-alcoholic beverages and food. More than a half of the company's net revenues comes from the US and 20% from Mexico, Russia, Canada, United Kingdom and Brazil. As of 2016, PepsiCo is listed 90th in Forbes Global 2000 ranking of largest public companies, and 42nd by market capitalization.

• # WMT (Wal-Mart Stores) — An American retail company that manages the world's largest retail network. It operates the Walmart trademark. Turnover: 482 billion dollars (2016).

Year of improvements

In 2017 Grand Capital updated a number of trading instruments and introduced new features.

• We enhanced our ECN account and turned it into a new generation ECN Prime. ECN Prime is based on AMTS technology. It supports traditional currency pairs and cryptocurrency trading. What’s more, you can use Depth of Market feature, place orders within spread and employ high frequency strategies in your trading.
• We launched a Binary Options trading app for iOS and Android, where you can place trades right from the chart, use trading signals, contact our support team via LiveChat.
• We renewed the Web Terminal for Binary Options. The new interface is much simpler and intuitive. You can see everything that is needed for effective trading on a single screen: live chart, trades info, quotes, etc.
• We partnered with an algorithmic trading systems provider. Grand Capital clients can use robots that have been tested on Mfxbook.

Year of education

In 2017 we introduced free educational materials.

• Watch 130 free video lessons on Forex and Binary Options trading. The course is available in 20 languages.
• The company’s analysts Evgeniy Boguraev and Sergey Kozlovsky published a book for beginner traders which uncovers all secrets of technical and fundamental analysis, risk management and trading terminal settings.

Changes in trading conditions on ECN Prime account

Dear clients!

Starting from the 10th of January 2018 the commission percentage for cryptocurrency trading on ECN Prime account is changed. Now the commission for trades is 1.2% per side and 2.4% for round turn.

Interview with contest winners: the best way to prove that you’re among the most successful 5% is to win a contest

In our new interview round-up read about the winners of Drag Trade, Future Trade and Rally Trade. This time the winners are quite an international bunch: we have traders from Tunisia, Indonesia and Ukraine. However, all of them spoke about the competitive spirit and reminded us that knowledge is power.

Albouchi Ahmed, Tunisia, the winner of 393rd round of Drag Trade, received real $200.

“I’ve been trading for about three years. I’d been meaning to find a means of extra income for a long time and at some point, I realized that Forex trading is the best shot for me. At first, I didn’t really understand how things worked there. But gradually I figured it all out. My most successful trades involved GBP/USD and EUR/USD pairs. As for the strategies, I usually use support and resistance levels and scalping. Grand Capital offers fast order execution and favorable spreads. I entered the contest to prove myself and challenge other traders. My advice to beginners is to be patient when placing trades. Impatience often leads to losses.”

• OATS — Oats futures. The size of the futures contract for oats is 5000 bushels. Since bushel is historically a unit of volume, the weight equivalent is different for each type of grain crops (or oats it’s 86 metric tons);
• SB — Sugar futures. The contract volume is standardized and equals 112 000 lbs. (50.8 tons). 1 tick equals 0.01 and costs $11.20. The price for sugar has a tendency to grow from September to December. The growth of the alcohol production worldwide furthers the long-term price growth;
• # SBER (“Sberbank”) — a Russian banking and financial services company, the largest multinational universal bank in Russia, Central and Eastern Europe. It’s regulated by the Central Bank of Russia, that owns 52% of Sberbank’s shares. As of 2016, Sberbank’s net income is 541.9 billion RUB;
