    Hey folks:

Sorry for the delay in posting the upcoming signals overview, but I decided to take it easy this week since I had to write 12 analysis (and trade them) last week, so I just couldn't resist the extra long-weekend off :)

Anyways, we only have one tradable release for this week.

    1. Wed November 10, 2010 7:30pm EST - AU Employment Change
    Historical Data & Chart

Of course there are lots of untradable releases, such as the Trade balances, Home Loan, Housing Start, etc... most of them are just 2nd tier news that won't affect the market unless we get a huge deviation...

Therefore, if you are planning to take some time off from news trading, or take your family on a mini vacation, this week would be ideal.

As the week started carrying the momentum from last Friday's NFP, I have to say that by now it is clear that most traders are second guessing whether or not Bernanke did the right thing by announcing the 800 Billion QE 2 measure on Wednesday... Or the real question is, if big Ben had access to Friday's data, which showed 2 months of positive revision plus a stellar headline release, would he and the rest of the FOMC still go ahead with the QE 2? or would they have delayed it until 2011?

I think the answer is very obvious and it is being played out in the currency market this week as traders unwind their EURO long trades and begin to take on USD... this may turn into a trend if we keep on getting positive US news in the next few days or weeks, and in the meantime, my focus will be to go LONG on anything USD... but one word of caution, there would be no chasing of trades... As market is still very volatile, any one with a bit of patience would do well.

    Until next time,

Thanks Henry ! Quiet week indeed :)

I've put together a Google Calendar of Henry's tradable news releases which you can add to your iPhone or your own Google Calendar. This gives you the following:
    1. Translates the time into your local timezone
    2. Allows you to see your personal appointments alongside when the news releases are happening
    3. And if you have a Google Calendar account - notifications to your mobile phone via SMS (for free!)

Instructions (you only need to add this once and it will appear every week)

    Adding to iPhone:
    1. Send an e-mail to your iPhone with the e-mail body of "webcal://www.google.com/calendar/ical/06nlopqpjr7nnehhgc99igak6k%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics" (without the quotes and remove the extra space before the '.com')
    2. On your iPhone, open the e-mail and click on the link.
    3. When prompted "Subscribe to the calendar: 'Henry Liu's Trading Signals'?", click "Subscribe".
    4. Open your calendar and it will say "The Calendar 'Henry Liu's Trading Signals' has been added"
    5. Click "Done".

Adding to your own Google Calendar and setting SMS notification (see accompanying screenshots attached):
    1. Log into your Google calendar and go to "Other Calendars"
    2. Type in "06nlopqpjr7nnehhgc99igak6k@group.calendar.google.com" (without the quotes and the .com should be one word - you'll need to remove the space)
    3. Now click on the drop-down for your newly added calendar "Henry Liu's Trading Signals". Click on "Calendar settings"
    4. Click on the tab "Notifications". Fill in the reminders you'd like - E-mail, SMS and Pop-up.

If you don't see "SMS" as a drop-down option, you need to configure the settings for your mobile phone in Google. Go to your "Settings" (top right) and choose "Mobile Setup" or check Google Calendar Help.

I'll try to update this calendar every week after Henry releases his weekly review, so you should only need to add the calenar once and from there on you'll get reminders every week to help you trade successfully :)

    Hope this helps,

Thank you Henry for always taking the time to post signals.

I don't know if I am going to get an answer but let me try:

I'm new on Forex and why is it that people say "Do Not Trade News" no matter what..?!?

    Have a good week!
