What is AvaTrade?

AvaTrade is a forex broker established in 2006 with offices located across 5 continents and licensed by ASIC, FSA, and other regulators.

AvaTrade offers MetaTrader 4 and 5, AvaTradeGo, AvaOptions, and WebTrader platforms with over 50 currency pairs, cryptocurrencies, vanilla options, as well as CFDs for ETFs, Indices, Stocks, precious metals and commodities.

June 2020:  An AvaTrade employee has told the FPA that "we are one of 3000 companies to use the same IP."  The FPA wonders about the security of sensitive client personal and financial information with so many offices of so many companies sharing the same IP address.

September 2013:   AvaTrade has not been able to provide the FPA with information about how the company can tell what is a normal off-market fill vs. what is arbitrage.

this app is not for a long term investor. They force pre defined levarage, charge you swap every 10 days, account manager was not honest or up front about details until i started losing money recommending i put more, instrument details do not pop up in an obvious place, educational videos are not all relevant (e.g. lot concept), details about the trade do not include % of specific trade against total equity

Is it not fair to warn the trader before executing? To warn this app is for active investors? To display leverage details after trade is open?

I can go on and on. This app is for advanced users who want to be active traders, and can read through the indirect scams

Can not withdraw most of my deposit

Dear Sir

I opened an account with Avatrade in Feb 2021.

They gave me the telephonic call and asked to increase balance to get more profits.

I deposited 7300 dollars and able to withdraw only 1100 dollars. Rest they scammed with me. While I was doing trade there softwates mt4 and ava trade it was hanging many times which caused losses of my amount

I request for return of my amount 6200 dollars.

Some advantages

Frankly speaking, I haven't spent a lot of my time choosing a brokerage. I just openned a list of brokers and have chose, literally, the first one I saw. That brokerage was AvaTrade and now I'm trading with it for 2 years already. Was my choice the best?
I don't know, as I never tried other brokers. But I know for sure that I never had any regrets about my choice. Maybe it was a little random, but I'm happy that I've chose AvaTrade. And that's why:
1. Regulated. No comments, just basic thing for every brokerage. Ava has everything good with that.
2. Spreads. For example, EURUSD is around 0.7-1.1. I think that's quite okey, like any other regulated brokerage
3. Education. Now I don't need it, but in the beginning of my trading, that was really an important point. Education is divided into 2 sections: for beginners and professional trading. I can't call it 'the best one', but I learned a lot with it. And analytical blog is also good, analytics isn't too freequent but always up-to-date and covers the most important daily points, so I like it.

Fraud, Scam and beware from AvaTrade

Avatrade is a fraud company. Abhishek their agent calls from UAE mobile number registers me. Amit their account Manger advises trades. They will show you profits, get you to invest more and more and then lose all your money. I lost my hard earned and even borrowed money a total OF USD24200. I live in Dubai, UAE. BEWARE FROM THEM DO NOT INVEST WITH THEM. They use web based mobile numbers to call and whats app wherein you cannot call them back.

I am a modern trader.

And that's why I'm attentive to everything new and unusual, because it can help to learn something new and master some new strategy.
I have been working here not so long. Before that I tried other companies, but all the time I faced some troubles. Everything seems to be fine here. At least I had already withdrawn money here and I saw that the money came to my card the same day. This is great news.
I have tried different terminals here, in general I can say that they are similar, but I feel more confident with MT4.
And trading calculators were also useful for my statistics.

Prevent withdrawals

AvaTrade is an untrustworthy broker with my account number 88745025. After depositing in January, I made over $30000 through continuous trading. However, when I withdrew on March 20th, AvaTrade only refunded me $3637.72. AvaTrade only sent me an email stating that according to their terms and conditions, they can decide to cancel any or all outstanding orders or contracts, or make any other commitments on behalf of the client, without prior request or notice. They decided to exercise this discretion. Please refer to Article 15 of their terms and conditions. But my transaction did not violate their terms. I asked them to provide specific evidence, but they did not respond. They just kept repeating what they had said before, violating Article 15. This behavior is shameless and I completely cannot accept it. Now I only want to get the money I deserve. Next, I will file a complaint with the regulatory authorities to protect my rights.

Give me back my assets

I deposited 50,000 USD after registering for AVA a few months ago, and suddenly my account was frozen, and I couldn't trade, log in to the backend, or withdraw funds. Froze my trading account and make it impossible to withdraw funds

This is an unreliable trading platform. They started to freeze my trading account after less than a week of trading, I was not allowed to log in. The CRM background could not be logged in. I was not allowed to withdraw my money, and the account manager never replied to me. The customer service on the official website shirks responsibility and there is no way to complain. There is no difference with a black platform.

Very poor customer service resulting in loss of money

I am writing this review so you're aware of this company's lack of respect to their customers who have lost money or trade due to their platform's technical issues. I will publish evidence of their lies and dismanagements very soon, as I am completely disappointed with their customer services very poor response to my complain, as their only solution was for me to uninstall and reinstall their program despite it being a mistake on their side!

Misappropriation of money from replenishment.

On May 1, 2023, AvaTrade blocked their vib accounts and withdrew part of the funds, however, they did not withdraw all the funds that I deposited from 04/19/2023 to my card.
On April 19, 2023, I topped up my account number 6036297 in the amount of $5,000 from my bank card.
On April 20, 2023, I replenish my account with another $4,400 from the same card.
On 04/25/2023, I replenish the same account in the amount of $1,540 from my PerfectMoney wallet.
I trade, open trades, and the amount in my account is 15801.73 dollars.
Next: my account is blocked and the amount of $7,530 is returned to my card (let me remind you that $9,400 was entered through the card). It turns out that AvaTrade appropriated 1870 US dollars from this money.
Moreover, not a single cent came to my Perfect Money wallet either (while the replenishment on 04/25/2023 was in the amount of 1540 US dollars).
It turns out that in total, AvaTrade illegally deducted 3410 (three thousand four hundred and ten) US dollars from my account.
I understand that they (for some reason) canceled the last trades and profits on them, but then they should have canceled the payment of the commission on these transactions. Accordingly, when blocking my personal account and accounts, they had to withdraw to me all the money that was in the account before the disputed transactions were made (04/25/2023, 14:56:46 and 04/25/2023, 14:56:45), then there is 10940 dollars (they returned me only 7530 dollars).
If AvaTrade representatives read these reviews, I would like to clarify one more important question with them. On one of the accounts, the amount of compensation for the negative balance: 5369 dollars, and the amount of write-off by the company on 05/01/2023: 8271 US dollars. So my biggest question is where did this $8271 come from??? Logically, the write-off should be equal to the amount of compensation, that is, 5369 dollars. Why did they write off 2902 US dollars more? There is no way to explain this at all. This is outright theft.
I demand that you refund me the amount of replenishment in the amount of 10940 dollars, of which you returned only 7530 dollars to the card. That is, you are obliged to return another 3410 dollars to me (1540 - to Perfect Money and 1870 - to the bank card from which the replenishment was made).

Apr 5, 2020 - 3 Stars Hello! My name is Alexander Prosin. My account number on AvaTrade.com is 6036939.
 On March 26, 2020 I replenished my account with AvaTrade.com for $ 474.37. On March 29, 2020, I made a profit of $ 3,313. Then, within a week, I withdrew 3287 USD in several transactions. This week, from March 29, 2020 to April 3, 2020, I did not make any transactions on the account, as evidenced by the history of transactions in MT4 (there are screenshots). On April 3, 2020, after transferring 10 USD from account 6036939 to account 6036297, 490 USD remained on account 6036939. But on April 3, 2020 at 15:08 (according to the time of the trading terminal), all remaining money was deducted from my account, that is, an amount of $ 490. My account is reset. It was 490 USD, it became - 0 USD. However, I did not make a single transaction.
The write-off comment states: "Roll Over Adjustment". That is, if I understand correctly, AVATrade.com wants to explain this write-off as a fee for transferring the position to the next day? Then the question is: why did the company wait a whole week before debiting my money? After all, I opened the deal on March 26, 2020 and closed it on March 29, 2020, and the position transfer fee was written off only on April 3, 2020. And this is a very large position transfer fee - 490 USD. Don't you think? At the same time, I replenished the account with only 474 USD. This is similar to AVATrade.com fraud. I think they just appropriated my money, referring to Roll Over.
I ask AVATrade.com to cancel the illegal debit from my account 490 USD and return my money, in the amount of 490 USD, to my account 6036939.
