Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

Hello Henrix,

First, let me explain why I moved your thread. General Forex Talk is for non-commercial discussions, and there is no way to address this claim without bringing up the names of multiple brokers.

Let me get this straight. Some person (called TruncatedUsernam) who joined BabyPips last month made an unsupported claim. He said the FPA removes negative reviews for SolidECN for money and you believed him?

Did you look at SolidECN's review page at the FPA?

www.forexpeacearmy.com/forex-reviews/19636/solidecn-review

The rating was 1.824 stars, but just dropped to 1.673 stars because of a new review being approved. If the FPA is so easily bribed, why isn't that rating a lot higher?

ZForex is rated 5 Stars. Just in case one of my review moderators turned to the dark side, I checked all the reviews that were not approved. No one has submitted a negative review for ZForex at the FPA. If someone does, it will be processed EXACTLY the same way as positive reviews are.

The thread also mentions LQDFX. They currently are rated 3.495 on their FPA review page. I the FPA is taking bribes, why is there a pair of 1 Star reviews in their Helpful reviews block? (Note: A separate block for helpful reviews is a new feature that is being implemented. Not all FPA review pages have it. Not all FPA review pages have enough reviews to make the split. I only have about 3000 more pages to check.) They also have a 1 Star review in their recent block of reviews. You can see for yourself here...

The final broker I see mentioned is Coinexx, currently rated 3.311 Stars at the FPA. Go here...

www.forexpeacearmy.com/forex-reviews/14988/coinexx-forex-brokers

and explain to me the 2 Star review in its helpful block and also the four 1 Star reviews and 2 Star review on the first five Recent Reviews.

It's easy to claim ALL review sites are corrupt, but if you believe that, why do you even try to trade forex? The natural followup of all review sites being corrupt is that every forex broker is a scam and is paying to hide every truthful review.

I do know that many review sites are corrupt. I see reviews the FPA rejected as obvious fakes get approved on other review sites. I once was having a conversation with a very high end SEO specialist. He asked how much the FPA charged to "fix" a review page. When I finally got it through his thick skull that the FPA does not take bribes and moderates reviews as honestly as humanly possible, he was shocked. I'm sure he was disappointed too, since he then knew he could offer companies listed in our reviews a way to hide their bad information.

If a company advertises or wants to advertise at the FPA and even hints at somehow improving their rating, they are told that advertising money buys banner ads, nothing else. They are also referred to items in the FAQ. This one says they do not get special treatment

and this one says the FPA does not remove items, but is happy to mark them as Resolved if the company can resolve the issue...

Most bribe attempts aren't very direct. But sometimes there are direct bribe attempts. If the FPA was taking bribes, why would I post this as an answer to someone who wanted to know the FPA's fee schedule? This sort of post would scare away all the people who want to throw money at me...

www.forexpeacearmy.com/r/general-articles/1745/first-bribe-attempt-of-2020

Since I know many people won't check the link, I'd like to quote something from it...

Lxxx, I promised you a fee schedule. I’m going to keep my promise. Here it is…

If you send me $1, nothing will be removed.
If you send me $1000, nothing will be removed.
If you send me $10,000, nothing will be removed.
If you send me $100,000, nothing will be removed.
Keep sending more and nothing will be removed.

So, Lxxx, the real cost is zero, because the FPA doesn’t sell what you want to buy. If you or anyone else doesn’t believe me, please go ahead and send all the money you like and watch nothing be removed. This will change your unethical bribe attempt into a test to show the FPA’s ethics can’t be purchased, so you will at least get a few karma points for your efforts.

If you want, join the thread at BabyPips and let TruncatedUsernam and anyone else backing up his incorrect claim know about this thread. Tell them that they can come here and ask.

Tell them they can even test it themselves. Tell them to try to bribe the FPA to remove even a single review. Tell them they can try to bribe the FPA to produce a fake review to promote a company. Tell them they can send 100% of their net worth and nothing will be removed or added.

Henrix,

Pipsteroid is illogical. All review sites will deny taking bribes and all brokers will deny scamming clients. This means that honest review sites and honest brokers will, of course, deny being dishonest. Evidence is what's needed, not unsupported conspiracy claims.

It takes zero mental effort for someone to mindlessly repeat or believe an unsupported claim. It takes an intelligent person a small amount of effort to look at evidence. It takes an intelligent person a moderate amount of effort to investigate. I've already shown you indisputable evidence that several of the sites the FPA is supposed to be getting bribed to hide all their negative reviews have large numbers of visible negative reviews.

Some people who like a broker will claim all negative reviews are from competitors. People who dislike a broker will claim all positive reviews are fake. I have caught a small number of brokers attacking competitors and have caught a larger number leaving fake positive reviews for themselves. The brokers I catch end up regretting it. Fakes against others get moved to the offender's review pages with notes about this being unethical. Fakes for their own companies get labeled as fakes and set to Zero stars. In spite of this, I still get people accusing longstanding FPA members who have assisted others with problems being accused of being shills for or against brokers. These people's real belief is, "Everyone who does not share my opinion is part of a conspiracy."

If I'm part of some vast conspiracy to hide and manipulate information, you might want to ask yourself why I didn't just make your account, this thread, and a number of similar threads that have come in over the years disappear. Instead, I address each one and leave it on public display.

I do know a number of scam companies that have falsely claimed that the FPA demanded bribes. One was a broker which was advertising at the FPA. They were very upset that the FPA requested evidence when they confiscated profits from 2 traders. They thought that being advertisers gave them special privileges. When they later refused to provide promised evidence, I personally told the Ad Department to cancel their contract. They added several pages of wild accusations against the FPA to their website. Another was a broker that not only stole a large amount from clients, but was also sending multis to dozens of forex forums to tell each other how great the broker was. When the FPA exposed this, they created several hundred WordPress blogs filled with contradictory claims of bad deeds by the FPA. A more recent one was a scammer who made a brokerage, stole client money, and then found he could support his kleptomania by setting up a string of mentor and signals sites. He was recently sentenced to prison. The closest I came to offering to accept a bribe from that one one was telling him that if he wanted to control what was shown at the FPA, he could buy the company for a 7 figure sum. I explained that once he owned the FPA, he could put whatever he wanted on review pages and erase all the complaints against him in the forums. I also explained that if this happened, I and my staff would resign the moment he took over, because we would not work for a person who ran the forums and reviews dishonestly.

If you are hanging out on BabyPips, please also invite Pipsteroid or anyone else who mindlessly repeats unsupported claims to try to test the FPA by offering bribes. If you personally are still unsure, feel free to to test the FPA yourself.

I got this job because I hate scammers. Anyone who accuses me or the FPA is free to test out trying to bribe the FPA. I've been rejecting all bribe offers since 2007 and make very sure that no one else is accepting bribe, so rejecting a few more won't cause any issues. Anyone who declines this offer to test the FPA and still claims the FPA takes bribes is nothing but a mindless spreader of conspiracy theories.

@HenrixPlumbx , Do it! Test out AsstMod and anyone else you can get hold of at the FPA. If the FPA is taking bribes left and right, then if you email them from an address not tied to your forums account, they'll have no way to know if you really represent a company or are testing them. Click the Contact link on the bottom of the page. From there, you can got to advertising or else can use contact forms to get to forums moderators, review moderators, and the person who sets up Performance Tests.

You could say that the FPA will be on guard for being tested right now, but then again, there's nothing to stop you from trying from different email addresses for weeks or months. If the FPA is really taking bribes, they wouldn't stop taking them month after month just in case it's you behind the offer.

I'm betting that your attempts will be politely ignored and they'll send you ad rates while trying to get you to name the sleazy company you represent or else you will hit a giant brick wall made of 100% pure NO. What I don't think they will do is agree to remove any review or forums post in exchange for money, but maybe, just maybe, I'm wrong. There's only one way for you to be sure and that's to try it for yourself. If I do it for you, someone will point out that I've been hanging out at the FPA even before AsstMod got hired and will claim I'm part of the grand conspiracy if I can't find any evidence. If you get an actual acceptance of a "remove this and I'll pay you" or other bribe offer, post it here for everyone to see. If you can't get a bribe accepted after however long you decide to keep trying, do the honorable thing and post your results here and at BabyPips.
