concerning 3-d party analysis. Be careful with it. Previously we've dedicated a lot of attention to them, since we had (and have) an access to JP Morgan Markets software, DB FX researches and many others, as Man Financial (RIP). But very rare they give really valuable information. THe point is that these researches is not the ones that they probably use in real trading. These researches is more a retail product to support clients and give them what they want. May be they are created by good analysts, but this is quite different department - those who write researches and those who trade.
They give mix results, and we've abandoned track them. They have absolutely different position structure, and FX business structure, than any of individuals. So, you just can't get into big bank skin. So, these researches might be useful in terms of some data and information, but probably not in terms trading plan.
Better to use researches of some party out of interest, those who do not trade on market. For instance, S&P.

I concur with that because I too have noticed that with a couple reports which apparently are designed to steer readers/traders in a particular trade direction which is the wrong side.

I know some of these traders read Sives analysis and if they see there comments posted by someone else they may take it the wrong way that's all I'm getting at!

ok i see... i just assumed since FXWW was advertising this as a free trial for a service they are thinking of developing in future for retail traders... well, why would they mind the publicity?
anyway, sive's point is well taken. i have to say that i got on 2 trades recently on 2 ccy pairs i never trade just based on some of those guys comments. of course, i also checked that it made sense to me first. and when it did, it confirmed what the pros were saying and i got in at the bottom, literally and made some god pips.
anyways, i am looking more at the chatter between these traders and what they report and think on an intraday basis and use it as a radar screen potentially alerting to look at some pairs i would not normally look at and then i try to see if indeed there is a setup. if there is, well, there is one more opportunity.
