I tried to check this out by creating a very simple instruction

Then you get the big surprise:
What good does it do to create an EA - and then having absolutely no parameters/ inputs to play around with?
You're invited to "thoroughly" test the EA... and you ask yourself: What do I test with?
You get an EX file and nothing else, no inputs! In order to change one digit on your indicator, you have to contact them but......
The answers to questions do come slow, if ever - and they do not address specific questions either
I have my serious doubts that this is indeed helpful to anyone

Thanks for your comments. In all honesty Joa I think they are a little unfair.

You mention "Then you get the big surprise" insinuating we are perhaps misleading people. The purpose of the Magic EA Creator is for those with no programming experience to create powerful EA's quickly and easily based on specific criteria that they select during the wizard process. The EA will do exactly what it is told to do from the selections made during the process - "thoroughly testing" is to ensure the EA does exactly what you asked it to do before potentially going live. We are aware that traders are paying upwards of £300 to have EA's developed for them which aren't complex models and are primarily based on typical Technical Analysis strategies; all of which we incorporated and much more into the Magic EA Creator. Members of the Forex Peace Army, as part of our site launch offer, get 3 free tokens to test the Magic EA Creator with the option to purchase additional tokens if they wish - the cost per token is £5.

Magic EA Creator has the capability to save traders hundreds of pounds whilst maintaining excellent quality and standard in terms of programming; how can this not be a good thing or helpful? I appreciate that you have EA coding experience and would require the MQ4 file to make modifications but there are many who don't. As stated in our literature, we are eager to engage with traders (if required) to help develop their EA further and/or offer advice on their strategy to the best of our ability. Very often, completely free of charge if EA changes are minor tweaks such as inputs for all EA configuration.

If you wanted to develop an EA that fell out with the parameters than those available in the Magic EA Creator then yes, we could help with that. In terms of cost to develop the software, this would depend naturally on the complexity of the EA. We always look to keep costs low by reusing code already developed and present in our growing libraries. Cost for EA development by our team can be anywhere between £25 and rarely more than £150. If we felt the traders system could be developed on the Magic EA Creator, we would advise to try this to see if it would fulfill their requirements - in the best interests of those that interact with our website in any capacity, we would want them to pay £5 rather than needlessly pay more. If Magic EA Creator did not do what they required and an EA had to be developed, the £5 would be refunded or if preferred, the token would be reapplied to their account.

Our response time for emails is 24 hours; we respond to every single email we receive within this time frame as best we possibly can. I personally responded to both of your emails within this timeframe and with very detailed information based on my understanding of the questions you were asking.


One final point I would like to make; the Forex Magician is a completely new website and is still in its infancy (we have made no secret of this)... We won't get everything we do correct first time around; it's a learning curve at the moment and we are taking on board all of the excellent feedback we have been receiving from those engaging with the entire concept; all of which we will inject back into the project to help it grow and develop and serve the traders' requirements and aspirations as best we possibly can.


Please feel free to use this forum to share with us your experiences and please do make suggestions on how we can improve. The fundamentals are there for a very useful resource and we continually want to improve its content - this is where feedback is critical to its success or otherwise.

I might sound often somewhat harsh, it's not meant to attack anyone - and it is not intended to insinuate anything.
It was and still is to me a huge surprise that you supply the EX file - and absolutely no input can be changed. That surprise remains.
Suppose I do have an idea of how my instruction (that's what it really is) should work this way or another. I do have no options but to guess it may work on 15M. The idea may sound great, look great, too!
In order for me to test MY IDEA, I may have to check it out on a 5M, or 1H time frame. No way the very same setting could work on ALL the time frames, wouldn't you agree? So where does testing come in? All I could "test" would be whether the EA does actually buy or sell........ Makes not much sense to me
This is all apart from having the source file.
I try always to be constructive and often times my sarcasm gets in the way.
In my simple mind and humble opinion, you have the copy right to the Wizard, my copyright is the instruction line.
So who owns what?
Meta is open source, most definitely. So the whole copy right issue circles around my own indicators(if used), and my instruction code line. In fact, you then keep MY code and I have no access to it. Does that sound right? Not in my ears....

If you do NOT provide the source file, then at the very least you ought to provide the input lines.
I have a hard time to believe that anyone can use and test it without it

Maybe you should license the Wizard to interested parties
