Does The Heavy Chrismas Celebration Affect Price Action ?

does the christmass celebration affect price action...if it does

1, how does it occur,

2, what actual element in xmass that causes it to change?

In my broker today market is closed on christmas celebration, so I think te market also still like a usual, although might influenced to currency but only on certain currency because not al country celebrate these moment.

Like if I want to trade USD with GBP/USD, since USA is observing the celebration how will it affect the trend for the whole period of the celebration...

During the period of Holidays the markets will always have Low trading volumes

It's generally not the best idea to trade during the holidays, I think.

There is low liquidity and someone with a big pocket can manipulate the price, hence making unusual spikes and volatility. But usually there is little to no movement in the price until market participants return.

Generally the low trading volumes mean the market will be pretty calm, but despite that GBP/USD fell sharply today, so it's more of a tendency than a rule.

i dont think so there is no effect of Christmas ..that was the end of year market move differently.
