Hi eJack,

Its version 2.2 and my broker is fxopen standard demo account. I was planning to go live but almost fainted seeing your trades In your case the problem may be some other fxopen account (ECN ??) or it may be your VPS interfering with the signals from Veon scalper. That's why your trades are different. Veon seems to be running a trade copier that transmits signals to all the EAs. But if there is some interference, the signals may not reach on time. I read somewhere recently about some VPS blocking the trade copier signals in case of Leo Trader Pro.

Vicaas, thanks for that info. As of this evening, I have it running exclusively on its own computer. Also, I read through the Veon Users Guide again to see if I could find any other warnings. I did have it running with other EAs on a computer so here's hoping that this is causing the difference between my demo and their demo. I emailed Veon support repeatedly asking if there was anything that could be causing the differences. At one point they sent the 2.2 version, but they never said anything about VPS problems or other EAs. I checked my parameters to the ones listed in the Users Guide again. The Slippage default is set at 1 but the Guide says the Slippage default is 2. In my opinion, 2 seems tight but that is what I used. Here are the settings I am using.

I am getting most of the trades , but not all of them and every day I end up with less pips in profit , then the developers account posted here on Forexpeacearmy, but with all of the stop losses in full.
I think that the problem with this ea is that it is a copier ( latency ,delays ) and it will never be as good as having a regular ea.If developer will not provide a copy of the regular ea it will be a refund time for me.

Vicaas and Larry, Where are you located? I am in California. These developers have a Spain address listed under their contact info. If Larry is correct and it is a trade copier, our proximity to their location my have some effect. I don't believe that it should affect the trades being taken or not since there is no latency parameter. We would most likely get later trades that may be higher or lower, but the trades would still be taken. I have updated this weeks trades in the prior post. It doesn't seem to have changed anything by running exclusively on its own computer.

Veon Scalper Trades

Hi Guys,

I am in South India. So far so good. I went live yesterday on fxopen. And it's given profits today. I honestly don't know what's wrong with your trades not getting copied or being totally different from the FPA demo.
Reasons could be -

1. Time delay due to physical distance from spain (maybe india is nearer than california, but I would not be so sure about this being the reason).
2. Your VPS may not be very effective. I use ForexVPS
3. The settings which you use for Veon may be different. By the way - mine
are default - except I am using 0.1 as the lot size. I am not using money
managment (as of now at least)

Almost all the successfull new robots coming on the FPA list now are trade copiers and asian period scalpers. So logically - if distance is a problem - then none of them should work well for you. Why don't you check another one out and you should get to know. You have several choices like Vital Robot / GPS forex robot / sHARK 6.0 etc... Take another demo and see if your trades match and then decide where the problem is. Hope this helps.

The trades are closer and neither one traded Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. I missed one trade for four pips. Naturally, it was the best dollar trade of the week. One that they had a decent profit turned to be a small loss for me with a two pip difference in our closing prices. There was one more trade that was off two pips and there were three more trades that were off one pip. In total their trades netted 9 more pips than my trades. With a total of 34 pips for me and 43 pips for them (5 in differences and 4 that I missed entirely), it is 43/34=1.26% which means they had 26% more pips in their trades than I did in mine. On a $10000 account, my winnings were $156.75 which is 1.57% for the week. Another 26% would have been $198.41 or 1.98% for the week.

Demo results is not the goal , test it on real account with low amount

Frankly, forexSQ, getting the same results as their trade results was the goal. If you read the previous entries I began using their recommended broker Askobid and then went to their demo broker FxOpen. The results were so different that I accused them of distributing different software than what they use on the FPS demo. However, another customer said he was getting their results running on ForexVPS so I began testing on the ForexVPS platform. It took six weeks to get to this point in large part because of their single execution license. With the drop in their demo account, I am requesting a refund and moving on to other EAs. The only time we got the same results was on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday when the EA didn't trade.

In addition, they are running on a demo account. Why are they not using a live account?

Overall profitable EA

I've been using for more than a month on fxopen - standard account. Like all scalping EA's it has good and bad days, but this EA has been overall profitable.

Dispute Correspondence

Within 30 days of purchasing this EA, I began requesting a refund for the purchase of the software. I believe that I am totally within the warranty requirement that the use of the EA would have caused losses. Immediately below is the correspondence with Plimus AFTER the resolution of the dispute. Below that is the correspondence with Veon Scalper requesting a refund. As you can see, they have no intention of keeping their warranty. Although the dispute is resolved, I cannot determine if I am to be reimbursed and who is going to do that. On 01/21/2011, my access to their service was terminated. I have emailed Veon Scalper to ask if they are going to refund and I have began a dispute with MasterCard to recover my money. I ask you, IF THE EA IS AS PROFITABLE AS THEY CLAIM IT IS, WHY IS $578.89 SO HARD FOR THEM TO REFUND?

Regardless, your warranty is as follows: The warranty is 30 days so you can exercise the right of withdrawal in the limit of 30 days from date of purchase, if and only if the use of VEON SCALPER it will have caused losses. By my account my losses to date would have been $1750.28 and your own account on FPA is seriously negative. Please keep your warranty agreement and refund my payment of $578.89. The purchase was on November 28 please do not continue to procrastinate. Thank-you for the opportunity to test your EA.
