@ Anthony
Feedback and critic are always welcome BUT should be fact based. What you wrote does not have much to do with facts because everybody who downloads the trial version can do a lot more than run back tests.
Here a brief overview what (and what not) traders can do with the trial version:
• Test the Thor trading system for seven days
• Access the user area, download the user manual and additional documentation
• Compare back test results and download detailed performance and analytic reports
• Review forward trading results (updated in real time)
• Change settings and make back tests for any time period (also with real ticks)
• Install the system on up to 10 Meta Trader platforms
• Trial version cannot be used for forward trading.
• Bonus section inside the user area is not accessible. . . .
Hello Alexander Collins,
I don't think there is much room here for disagreement; nor is there much in the way of contradiction to my earlier cautionary mention with which you could honestly disagree.
I mean (and meant) no disrespect to you or your offering; indeed it seems more worthy of serious consideration than many other EAs.
.
However, as a serious developer you know (or should know) the only important function of a fair "free trial" is to allow a potential client a reasonable period to validate in future trade action, the quality of your algorhythm.
Any ex-post facto review of prior claimed successes is, by design, entirely hypothetical; and under CFTC Regs must be so disclosed in advertisements to the unwitting public.
You (or your "Marketeer") have demonstrated such awareness, by the very disclosures you openly post on your website.
.
Potential buyers of your product must do their own due diligence.
They should be made aware that only publication of "verified audited forward track records", such as those provided when a vendor voluntarily subscribes to such on an impartial site like:
"mt4i.com" or "MyFxBook.com" and successfully demonstrates a proven forward track record plus a history of no test record deletions.
Only then should a singular product be considered, and held up as evidence of vendor's performance.
.
Do this for us, and I will be the first to applaud.
