I'm looking at the EURUSD spread offered by Forexoma ECN right now (through an MT4 demo account); it's around 2.5-2.9 pips. Does anyone know if this is too wide for MDP? Thanks very much in advance to anyone who can help.

Has anybody successfully gotten finfx running great on a live account? I have noticed some complaints about working with live accounts.

GO Markets just informed me that they no longer accept US Residents as clients. finfx, however, is an unregulated broker and apparently still will accept them. Being unregulated does have certain other drawbacks.

Has anybody gotten MDP running great on a US Broker with a live account? IBFX works okay, but not great.

I have both GoM and Peperstone. GoM had lots of issues for a few weeks until lask week. They did some fixes during the weekend and it looks okay so far. But we have to look for a couple of more weeks and see if all the issues are fixed.

I opened an account with peperstone as well. They're ECN hence have low pips. They have $7 per lot commission. Which is not too bad. But I find their execution times higher than GoM. I still haven't tested MDP with Pepperstone yet..

Can anyone comment on their performance of MDP with Pepperstone?

I'm pretty sure this is too wide to make a decent cut. Try anone below 2pips who has good execution times.

IMO, Good execution times is the key for MDP. Yes, it's even more important than VPS or ECN broker.

I use MDP 1.2 on recommended ThinkForex (real, $1300 charged + VPS), with default settings, but it not trade and generate a tons of errors:

i diasable the "use_stop_orders" setting, after that, 19.09.2011 MDP drops about -70pips and -$101.
today MDP try to open SELLSTOP orders:

Hi,

I am having exactly the same issue. I have purchased it yesterday with the hope that this time this EA will be not a crap, I have also registered with the recommended broker ThinkForex, but getting only errors.

I have sent an email to to the support directly, and one trough ClickBank but so fat no reply.

Any idea from anyone?

Broker Info

First of all, I have to say that I have had great support from MDP.

My broker called me yesterday and this is what is happening with the majority of the accounts.

All the brokers are experiencing problems with this MDP. Problems are,
(1) too many orders being activated at once, locking up the servers
(2) the trades that have previously gotten through without a problem has been too profitable and the brokers are having a problem filling the orders.

A lot of the brokers don't have enough money backing them to cover these profits so some are choosing to freeze accounts, others are closing accounts, some are just blocking MDP.

I've only had MDP a couple weeks and experienced the losses when the servers are either intentionally turned off or are having technical problems.

This EA has been way oversold and hopefully most of the folks will be successful in getting their refund. Take a look at the test account that is attached to this thread and you will see that it is experiencing the same issues now.

i turn off "AutoApplyECN" & "use_stop_orders", and mdp start trade today, but i think ThinkForex is not good broker for mdp, order modification time is 2682ms, ping from my VPS to Thinkforex server ~48ms....for today -10pips.
i think is very hard or imposible to find broker where mdp works fine, like on demo account...

Update

My live account with FXCBS just got a big hit today (-17%). Maybe that is because my execution time is ~ 1000ms. Think Forex's demo appears to perform OK today.

I will switch to a ForexVPS soon. From MDP's website, a 24 hours loss of 20% is possible once every 3 months.

Gave that a try already! My latency between my VPS and the broker was actually averaging 0. My average latency with MDP was also showing very low numbers, now it's running between 1000 and 2600+ms. It's the brokers slowing everything down intentionally to make the bot lose. There's no way around it.
