Our own platform or not platform?

Hello guys, I want to ask, since I do not understand very well yet, but forex trading is only possible via a software of a broker? The question is, you can not access the market directly, without passing through the platform of another? And one more thing, and if one of us wanted to create a platform to access the forex would be technically possible? A platform maybe connected directly to my bank account. Perhaps someone may seem stupid questions, please forgive the ignorance.

You need to access the forex market through a broker.
