Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

    More info coming soon.

General discussions of a financial company
Bitcoin is the least "scam" around.

Unlike a bank, everything is 100% visible on the Blockchain. True transparency. It's the most transparent payment "currency" there is.

Also, if you had invested in BTC even one year ago, you'd be making more then 99% of Retail FX traders. Bitcoin is very, very volatile but certainly legitimate.
Will be interesting to see if it can pop $10K USD :)

Many thanks and I have decided not to go down the Bitcoin route

You can still use it as a digital currency to pay online ;)

I agree with you, blockchain is more transparent than any bank, so is Bitcoin.

And yes, it is very very volatile, it could go up to 10K next month or it could crash down more than 50% next week.
(I'm not beeing negative here, it happened many times before with Bitcoin)

Before considering investing,
I suggest to anyone interested in Bitcoin to watch this very good down-to-earth videos by Chris Dunn.

Chris Dunn has also a Bitcoin Basics course http://chrisdunn.com/bitcoin-basics

.

Consider also that there is no guarantee that Bitcoin will be still a mayor player in the future of digital currencies.

It had more than 90% of dominance in the past, now it is around 60%.

I remember a time where Netscape was the dominating internet browser, (70-80% dominance in 1996/1997)

Then MS Internet Explorer got stronger, then Firefox.

Now Chrome is the dominating browser, but this could change again of course.

Only time will tell.

Bitcoin keeps maintaining its dominance while even Ethereum and the other Top 10 cryptos are dragging WAY behind.

If someone is thinking about investing in Crypto, it's a much safer bet to go with BTC then these "Alt Coins" with much, much less public perception.

Coinbase opens like 500K new BTC wallets a month. The other Cryptos just don't have that type of awareness. Even people who no nothing about finance nowadays know what Bitcoin is. The others have a long way to go.

Inexperienced self-service is the major cause of most bitcoin scams. Nobody really tells you the truth, which is the fact that YOU NEED AN ACTUAL BROKER, not an online platform which you're not really sure how to use. We jump into these apps with high hopes not being aware of the risk involved, then these fake brokers using our thirst for fast financial stability take us for mental midgets, forcing us to trade on margin with a terrible charting software, making money when their clients inevitably lose. You need to understand that YOUR MONEY IS AT RISK, and then work with your broker on how to navigate them. Even reviews lie these days, because you could get a bad experience from the same broker another person got an amazing experience from. Some sites could help with giving you a comprehensive list of good brokers. If you're interested in holding bitcoin and doing some equity trading , buy it the proper way and buy yourself long-term peace. Email us at REMOVED for expert broker-ship, guidance, and technical analysis. We can't promise that there will be no risks, but we promise to put your interests first, always.

FPA Forums Team Note: It is unusual to use your first post in a public discussion forum to try to lead members away for a private email discussion. Why not publicly talk about which brokers you think are so reliable? Then everyone could publicly share any information they can find about the companies and everyone would benefit.
