EA and broker

Hi Guys,

I have been trading the system with mixed success manually on GBPUSD, I am thinking of using the EA on the 3 recommended currency pairs.

Q. I wish to use true money management set at around 3% or 5%, as I will be using a microlot account, do I need to adjust the number of lots (lot size) to get the % or will the EA do it automatically? I will be starting with 0.1 lot and an account balance of £500. I have only every used IG and they go to 4 decimal places but other brokers which use MT4 go to 5?

Q. I would like to place the EA on a Virtual Server, I found one broker which will provide this service for free (if opening an account of $500), but there are no reviews of them (Thinkforex). I will pay for an independant service once the account justifies it, but at $500, paying £30 to £50 a month does not make any sense. Would anyone recommend any brokers? I did message Thinkforex but got no response and could not find them registered anywhere.

Q. Has anyone been using the EA on a real money account, I plan to use the standard setting. Any advice?

I am finding that this system requires a lot of patience. You can break even for 3 or 4 months and then double your account in 1 month. The classic system done manually is very specific. And there is 4 years of data to back it up.

The EA is a different story. It has many settings and options. But you can set it up very close to the basic 1MD system.

I think those who stick with this for the long haul and all the ups and downs will be rewarded in the end.

I agree, does anyone have any data which goes back longer than 4 years? This would make interesting reading. I have come across a number of systems that would for a few years then do not. Although my personal experiance on 1MD has been goo if very frustrating, I have made 75% profit in 2 months trading cable.

Gary, I contacted to ThinkForex on August-4.

For free VPS you must trade a number of lots monthly. Unless you must pay for it.

They tell me that this web made a mistake: Forex brokers with Free VPS Hosting

Confirm it with them before open a live account.

No Good Results 1MD

The last results of this system havent been good for GPBUSD and other currencies.

I have programmed a Basic EA with this strategy for backtesting. Good results during this year on GBPUSD. The last month was no good. Im testing other pairs at this moment.

I does work, and works very well, however i have found something very similar to it that seems to be much more reliable.
