OctaFX announces partnership with PERSIB, Indonesia.


We have breaking news for our traders community – today, February 24, 2014, OctaFX held a press conference in Bandung, Indonesia, to announce the beginning of sponsorship for PERSIB – one of the most prominent football clubs in Indonesian League.

With more than 40 reporters from the local media and PERSIB higher management present, OctaFX representative and Persib Bandung officials signed a sponsorship agreement, as to confirm OctaFX is now a proud sponsor of PERSIB in the season 2014.

PERSIB’s way to success started in 1933, March 14, when the club was founded by merging several entities into one. After performing three times as runner-up in State Competition 1933 in Surabaya, 1934 in Bandung, and 1936 in Solo, PERSIB became champion for the first time in 1939 in Solo.

Since its establishment, PERSIB Bandung has won various trophies, namely:

• President Cup State Competition First Division in 1986, 1990, 1994
• President Cup Indonesian League Competition I in 1994-1995
• Indonesian Super League U-21 in 2010

What is the key factor to your success? Why are you better than everyone else?

1st place – Mr. Nguyen Kim Dung: I do not feel better than others, perhaps in this contest luck was on my side, I was more in control in my trading and was not easily discouraged. I think there are three keys to success in Forex trading. 1. Proper Trading System – means Proper Plan with good Risk Reward Raito 2. Proper money management without greediness 3. Patience. If you want to make effective plan you should make it as simple as possible.
2nd place – Mr. Maman Sulaeman: I always put Money Management and control of emotions for the open position of BUY or SELL.
3rd place – Mr. Diding Herdiansyah: I use money management, control my emotions.

How long does it take to become a good trader?

1st place – Mr. Nguyen Kim Dung: A good trader? It is difficult. I have been involved in forex market for three years. Time is not the problem. It is important that you have to take the heart on it.
2nd place – Mr. Maman Sulaeman: I have been familiar with the trading since the year 2011.
3rd place – Mr. Diding Herdiansyah: Certainly it depends on a person.

The last runner – Mr. Mohd Faizul Haris shared his thoughts on the contest:
Next time, I would like to defeat another professional participants. I want to improve my skill until I get 1st prize in the next competition. Still, I gained new experience and knowledge. I learn discipline in trading, which is important. I know that I can improve my performance every day, though there is no holy grail technic how to be a professional. Yes I am. This is the biggest surprise that I received in this New Year 2014. I am very happy to know that OctaFX chose my experience as the best story. Success stories and inspirational advice from Round 24 OctaFX Champion winners arrived! Round 24 brought us four winners enlisted below, and we have talked to two of them - Mr. Bhimashankar Ramapur and Mr. Edy Santosa - to ask is there any secret of being good at trading.

Mr. Ramapur was so happy, he could hardly express his feeling with words:

“Basically I started a bit late to trade in this round. Nevertheless, as soon as I started I became constantly involved in trading, keeping all my attention on signals. I traded EUR/USD only, as that’s the only pair, which behavior I know way better than others.

Initially EUR/USD and USD/CHF trading helped me to take my equity on track. Once I raised to the rating top, I maintained my equity and was going forward. EUR/USD and USD/CHF boosted my equity and that’s when I reached 1st rank. It was downhill from there - I maintained both my rank and equity. When I reached first place, one of my competitors tried to overtake me. He failed many times, because I think he was looking at my total balance, not my equity. Finally, he lost all his balance and that’s when I knew, that’s a confirmation of my victory.

The main key factor of my victory is the EUR/USD trading. I was sure that, when the pair goes to 1.40000/1.39500, it would definitely go down in 2 weeks. So I waited for that. When EUR/USD was falling down, I knew that USD/CHF is raising in the same time, so I was buying USD/CHF as the pair was helping me to support my equity. So when EUR/USD got to 1.37, I started to buy.

One more important thing is that I regularly opened high amount trades. If the trade profits near 0.2-0.5 pips, I am suddenly closing it. Since small profits make my big equity. When the market goes not in my favor, I don’t close that trade - I open half amount of the same trade in reverse instead, reducing my loss by 50%.

I particularly remember one spectacular gain - 50 lots of EUR/USD - it was the first trade, which brought me first rank.

Mr. Bhimashanka Ramapur adds: “I love to take challenges that OctaFX offers”.

Mr. Edy Santosa from Indonesia feels really happy and proud to be the second runner in a row of 1650 traders, minding the fact that he traded calmly in European and Asian sessions’ time, not straining himself.

“I have been trading 3,5 years and though I can say I am good at trading, I still learn every day. Strategies that I use are scalping and following the trend, I stick to techniques I proved to be effective on practice. While competing, I managed to keep an eye on trading and elevated my money management experience, while controlling my emotions, since it is essential not to become greedy, when you see your trend taking a right moment.

I have not experienced a great loss of money due to paying close attention to the proper funds management”.

Atep, PERSIB midfielder, shows contagious competitive spirit!

Our partnership with FC PERSIB encouraged us to create a series of interviews with the most prominent players, as we want you to draw inspiration from people we have common values with. This week, vice-captain Atep will win you over with his positive attitude towards the game. Atep can surely become your role model!

As perceived by midfielder PERSIB, Atep, to obtain a myriad of achievements, you have to pass hard tests. This professional football player started his way from Football School (SSB) and different teams, until joining PERSIB for five seasons.

Atep Ahmad Rizal, known as Atep A7 was born in Cianjur, West Java, 5 June 1985. Atep started his football career at the junior football club PS UNI. At that time he was a potential young player in attacking midfielder position. His shoot power and accuracy along with good individual skills, made his way into the Indonesian national team in various international championships.

In the season 2008/2009, Persib Bandung finally managed to sign Atep, after failing to get him in the previous season. Although his arrival was greeted so positively by the bobotoh, Persib supporters community, he did not get so many chances to play in early matches of the season. So, many predicted that he would leave in the transfer window during the break between matches. However, he was persistant and eventually started to get a chance to play as a substitution player. In his second season (2009/2010) with Persib Bandung, Atep managed to enter the Main Persib squad after replacing Siswanto.

After four seasons with Persib Bandung, Atep got an award from club management. In his fifth season, he earned a two-year contract from Persib. Atep became one of three Persib players who signed a two-year contract this season. Although his position is safe, at least for the next two seasons, Atep admitted that his adrenaline only boosted by a two-year contract.

Showing his dedication to football, Atep Ahmad Rizal made the breakthrough by establishing Football School (SSB) A7. SSB which was founded in 2009 is headquartered in his hometown, Cianjur. The idea of establishing SSB A7, originated from ATEP who wants to contribute something to his hometown.

“The difficulty of making football accessible, both in education and facilities, makes me want to establish a football school. I would like to find talents through this SSB, it may appear any moment, that there is a boy who shines. I also try to promote my students to several teams, one of them is PBR U-21".

Atep intends to stay at Persib Bandung. "If the management entrusted me to continue to strengthen this team, I intend to retire as a footballer at Persib Bandung. I was born in Cianjur and grown up in Bandung. Indirectly, I have a bond with Persib. So, if management does want me to continue playing here, I am not interested in moving to another club," Atep confirmed.

“I loved football since I was a kid. Incidentally, my house was close to the football field and my family also loved football, both my grandfather and my father. Although I was asked by my father not to pursue a career in football because he thought that football is not a promising career, I have no regrets. I have my own faith".
