Commodities Markets
The trend was higher across the board today for the Energy Sector: Light crude moved higher today by $1.82 to close at $93.59 a barrel; Heating Oil moved higher today by $0.05 to close at $2.60 a gallon; Natural Gas moved higher today by $0.23 to close at $8.53 per million BTU and Unleaded Gas moved higher today by $0.04 to close at $2.40 a gallon.
Metals Markets ended the session higher across the board today: Gold moved higher today by $4.40 to close at $926.70 a Troy ounce; Silver moved higher today by $0.36 to close at $17.47 per Troy ounce; Platinum moved sharply higher today by $55.40 to close at $1,939.40 per Troy ounce and Copper moved higher by $0.02 today to close at $3.56 per pound.
On the Livestock and Meat Markets, the trend was mixed across the board today: Lean Hogs ended the day higher by $0.20 to close at $65.08; Pork Bellies ended the day lower by $0.48 to close at $97.63; Live Cattle ended the day with no change at $95.10 and Feeder Cattle ended the day higher by $0.88 at $105.90.
Other Commodities: Corn ended the day lower by $4.50 at $503.50 and Soybeans moved lower today by $13.00 to end the session at $1,326.00.
Bonds were mostly higher across the board today: 2 year bond closed with no change at 100 12/32; 5 year bond moved higher by 4/32 to close at 101 today; 10 year bond moved higher by 6/32 to close at 99 and the 30 year bond moved higher by 8/32 to close at 99 17/32 on the day.
The e-mini Dow ended the session today at 12,233 with a gain of 56 points on the trading session. The total Dow Exchange Volume for the day came in at 153,694 which are comprised of Electronic, Open Auction and Cash Exchange.
