The US stock market

Hello Everyone

Yesterday we ended in the "Red" after the Fed's Bank of Philadelphia President Charles Plosser said the central bank's current taper pace could be too slow if the economy improves as forecast.

Hopefully the FOMC Meeting Minutes (7:00pm BST) can be more hawkish than expected for the "Buyers", with the "Bond" traders being more sensitive to the release of the report.

Close of trading:

The Dow Jones Global Indexes: 16374.31 -137.55 (-0.83%)

Nasdaq Composite Index: 4096.89 -28.92 (-0.70%)

The S&P 500 Index: 1872.83 -12.25 (-0.65%)

For the second day running "Gold" finished slightly up on 1293.91

Current price: 1292.40

Good luck

Hello caplas

All three "markets" continued on the up-side for the fourth day running, with no Economic reports today the odds for more records being broken favor the brave among us, as the "buyers" continue to break the old "Sell in May and go away" theory.

Close of trading:

The Dow Jones Global Indexes: 16675.50 +69.23 (+0.42%)

Nasdaq Composite Index: 4237.07 +51.26 (+1.22%)

The S&P 500 Index: 1911.91 +11.38 (+0.60%)

Gold hit a new "Low" 1264.20 yesterday (Daily) last seen around 10/Feb/14 as the world's leading gold-mining country China saw its imports from main conduit Hong Kong drop to a 14-month low of 67.040 tonnes in April, from 85.128 tonnes in March. Hopefully a new month (June) will bring a little sparkle back to the "Buyers" eyes.

Current price: 1264.52

Good luck

Hello Everyone

Wednesdays "stocks" fell, ending their four day rally, despite the S&P 500 posting a new 1,914.46 record high.

Thursdays Unemployment Claims - Prelim GDP q/q - Prelim GDP Price Index q/q all forecasting different results and all at 1.30pm (BST) can swing the "markets" before the Pending Home Sales m/m is announced at 3.00pm (BST). A strong reading lately suggest that the housing market will continue to support growth in the US economy. Pending home sales are expected to rise further by 1.1%.

Close of trading:

The Dow Jones Global Indexes: 16633.18 -42.32 (-0.25%)

The S&P 500 Index: 1909.78 -2.13 (-0.11%)

Hello Everyone

As suspected the "markets" hold firm after the 1.30pm results return a mixture of good & bad.

The S&P 500 looks set to open at or around a new record high (whats new now-a-days :D)

Looking for a good "Forecast" at 3.00pm (BST) Pending Home Sales m/m.

Gold could finish this month off were it started February around the 1240 - 50 mark, hopefully signaling a new upward surge.

Good luck

Hello Everyone

Thursday saw all three "markets" back in the "Green" as the last day of this months trading will see 7 minor reports, usually not big game players, best of the bunch for me, is the two "Personal Income m/m" and "Personal Spending m/m" both due at 1.30pm (BST), usually one should feed of the other, so low income = low spending or high income = high spending. So be interesting to see how the "markets" move if both light up the same colour.

Close of trading:

The Dow Jones Global Indexes: 16698.74 +65.56 (+0.39%)

Nasdaq Composite Index: 4247.95 +22.87 (+0.54%)

The S&P 500 Index: 1920.03 +10.25 (+0.54%)

Gold continued not to disappoint myself at it "Close" 1255.20 as we look for the 1240 - 50 mark today.

Current price: 1254.19

Good luck
