Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

Problem FxPro — Unauthorized Withdrawal & Deflection to Unregulated Costa Rica Entity (Account 530046019)

Problem Summary:

FxPro allowed an unauthorized withdrawal of 1,500 USD from my account and is now deflecting responsibility by claiming my account is under an unregulated Costa Rica entity, FxPro Markets Direct Costa Rica LATAM, SRL. This appears to be a systemic practice, as another client has reported the identical deflection tactic.

Full Details:

Account:
Trading One 530046019
Date of incident: June 27, 2026
Amount stolen: 1,500 USD (USDT TRC-20)
Destination wallet: TRvrKS6wN3RnNNvp4SVPnhuqBgSEwULDff
Unauthorized IP: 81.91.177.105 (commercial VPS in Poznań, Poland, provider Podaon SIA, Latvia)

What happened:

On June 27, 2026, two unauthorized withdrawals were made from my FxPro trading account.

  • The first attempt at 2:24 AM UTC was cancelled.
  • An identical withdrawal was approved 23 minutes later, at 2:48 AM UTC, from the same suspicious IP — without any additional verification.
  • Google flagged suspicious activity on my account at 2:25 AM UTC (one minute after the first attempt) and automatically signed out the unauthorized device.
  • The funds were sent to a cryptocurrency wallet address I had never used in three years of account history.
FxPro has officially confirmed in writing that the second withdrawal was authorized from IP 81.91.177.105 — a commercial VPS server in Poland, not my usual device. Yet they claim there was "no unusual login activity."

FxPro's response and deflection:

When I sought compensation, FxPro responded:

"Your profile is registered under FxPro Markets Direct Costa Rica LATAM, SRL."
This is the same tactic reported by another client (see Account 530199140). FxPro appears to use its CySEC/FCA licensing to attract clients, then deflects them to an unregulated Costa Rica entity to avoid regulatory accountability. I was never clearly informed that my contractual counterparty would be a non-regulated Costa Rican company.

What I have already done:

  • Filed a complaint with CySEC (Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission).
  • Filed a formal criminal complaint with the Cyprus Police, Office for Combating Cybercrime.
  • Filed a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman of Cyprus (case No. 13.29.004.8346 — closed on jurisdictional grounds and referred to Cyprus Police).
  • Filed a criminal complaint in Russia (KUSP No. 3/267718508048 under Articles 159 and 272 of the Russian Criminal Code).
  • Reported to CERT Polska and CERT.LV regarding the VPS provider and the Polish IP.
  • Filed complaints with the FSCA (South Africa) and SUGEF (Costa Rica).
  • Contacted FixedFloat exchange, which confirmed it can provide server logs to law enforcement upon official request.
What I want:

  1. FxPro to acknowledge the security failures.
  2. Compensation for the stolen funds (1,500 USD).
  3. FxPro to stop deflecting clients to an unregulated Costa Rica entity and to clearly disclose the contracting entity at registration.
Systemic practice note:

This is not an isolated incident. Another client has reported the identical pattern of FxPro deflecting responsibility to FxPro Markets Direct Costa Rica SRL to avoid regulatory accountability. See thread: "FxPro Severe Execution Failure & Log Suppression (Deflecting to Costa Rica Entity) — Account: 530199140". My case involves unauthorized withdrawal and theft, which further demonstrates the severity of this practice.

I have all documentation available: FxPro's written confirmation of the IP address, Google Critical Security Alert screenshot, FixedFloat correspondence, and all regulatory filings. I am ready to provide them upon request.

After their final reply, I suggest you share your story as a review here: FxPro Review & follow this: Where to Complain if You've Been Scammed by a Forex Broker? (or crypto broker)
I contacted SUGEF — Costa Rica's financial regulator. They confirmed in writing that FxPro Markets Direct Costa Rica LATAM, SRL is NOT registered with SUGEF and therefore operates under zero regulatory supervision in Costa Rica.

Regulatory dead end:

Financial Ombudsman of Cyprus closed my case (File No. 13.29.004.8346) on jurisdictional grounds — because my contract is with the Costa Rica entity, not the Cyprus one
CySEC has no jurisdiction over the Costa Rica structure
FCA UK has no jurisdiction
SUGEF confirmed the company is unregistered

FxPro is effectively using an unregistered offshore structure to serve clients from CIS countries while denying them any regulatory protection. I was never informed at registration that my account would be under this entity rather than the CySEC-regulated one.
