The US stock market

Hello Everyone

The markets end in a mixed note yesterday, likewise the data had the same effect, with the ISM Manufacturing PMI showing "Green" while all other reports (4 in total) light-up "Red" including the ISM Manufacturing Prices.

Today could have that "down and up" as opposed to a "up and down" day as data results are released, but most focus will be on the Congressional Elections, where a good result by the "Republicans" could see new records smashed.

Hello Everyone

Yesterday ended in a mixed result as both the Dow and S&P 500 Index fell foul to some late sell offs, to close the day in the "Red", while the Nasdaq continued it three day winning streak in-a-row.

Today it's the Unemployment Claims 1.30pm (GMT) that usually starts the ball rolling, followed by the Crude Oil Inventories 4pm (GMT), both results (good) last week help push the Dow and S&P 500 into new record highs, so keep a watch on them today.

Close of trading:

The Dow Jones Global Indexes: 17612.20 -2.70 (-0.02%)

Nasdaq Composite Index: 4675.13 +14.58 (+0.31%)

The S&P 500 Index: 2038.25 -1.43 (-0.07%)

Gold continues to hover between last Fridays high + low (1131.56 - 1178.58)

Current price: 1160.70

Good luck

Hello Everyone

Yesterday saw both the Dow and S&P 500 drop off record highs as Crude Oil Inventories bad result added to the earlier bad Unemployment Claims data.

Today sees the Core Retail Sales m/m, Retail Sales m/m both at 1.30pm (GMT) followed by loads of other reports thereafter, most if not all seem to favor a "good" "Forecast" result, so maybe one or two "Reds" might cause a sell off. ;)

Close of trading:

The Dow Jones Global Indexes: 17652.79 +40.59 (+0.23%)

Nasdaq Composite Index: 4680.14 +5.01 (+0.11%)

The S&P 500 Index: 2039.33 +1.08 (+0.05%)

Gold almost flat-lined yesterday, opening at 1161.96 and closed at 1161.58.

Current price: 1153.61

Good luck
