Thoughts on MT5?

I wanted to ask you guys what your opinion is on MT5? I have tried it, and I must say that in general I do not like it the least bit. I wonder why MT decided to take a decent platform (MT4) and turned it into something of lesser value? Has anyone else tried the platform?

While most retail traders still trade on MT4 and will likely do so for a bit longer I begin to wonder if everyone will eventually be forced to migrate over to MT5. I hope they will continue to work on MT5 and improve it as I am sure they will lose business if they do not. Of course MT creates platforms for brokers, but brokers need to offer a platform traders like to use which I think they have done a pretty good job with MT4.

Am so much in love with MT4 that i can't even think of MT5.

If/when I ditch MT4, I plan on moving to something independent of MetaQuotes.

I also tried MT5 while ago and actually I don't like to platform at all. Can't add several indis and not so user friendly.

So Mt4 is the best option for me.

I've used it for a very short while a few years ago.

I like that it has more timeframes available, but what I don't like is that some or most of the MT4 indicators don't work there. I can code MT4 a little bit and it is cumbersome to learn a modified language.

I think people are so much used to the comfort offered by MT4, so it may take time to adopt MT5 , but as and when our hands used to MT5 , even its advance platform

here's a thought... why reward a company like MetaQuotes who willfully set out to create a product that would benefit the market makers by making it easier for them to screw traders?

Precisely why I don't use them on a live account.

Was lucky in a way that I never used them on live accounts before I learned about their dirty tactics
