The first thing to do is check the FPA's Calendar. If I've converted the time zones properly, the NZIER Business confidence news release is a strong suspect.
You would think that this only applies to NZD pairs, but back when I traded news regularly, I saw important news events able to trigger weird price action on unrelated pairs.
If I've got the time wrong, recheck the calendar, ask your broker, and check the charts from another source.
