I am a retail trader holding account ID 28923196 with Vantage. On May 15, I opened 2 Long and 2 Short positions on Gold. Before the market closed for the weekend, I closed the 2 Long positions, maintaining the 2 Short positions over the weekend.
On Monday, May 18, 2026, the market reopened normally with NO opening price gaps. Immediately after the open, the price moved against my positions. This adverse movement put my unprotected Short positions under extreme market risk, bringing my account to the brink of a forced liquidation (Stop Out). I endured this genuine market risk. Later, the market reversed in my favor, and I closed the positions at 4532, securing a legitimate profit of $1,184.
Vantage's automated risk system flagged my account incorrectly. They sent a generic template email confiscating my $1,184 profit and terminating my account under Clause 1.4(b)(v) for "Suspicious Trading Activity."
I have formally requested Vantage to provide specific Ticket IDs, technical price logs, or a concrete definition of the violation. However, they flatly refused and sent a "Final Response" stating they would not communicate further.
If my intention was risk-free manipulation or arbitrage, I would not have suffered a near-liquidation drawdown upon market open. This was a trade involving real market risk. Vantage is happily pocketing money when traders lose, but arbitrarily seizing profits when traders win. I request FPA to intervene, protect retail traders from such unfair brokerage practices, and demand Vantage to restore my $1,184 profit.
