That explains it very comprehensively. It is moving up the ladder one step at a time. There is no fixed time period and it varies depending upon individual’s ability to understand the trends in the movement, risk taking ability and also get a cue of the factors which affect the movement.

Lot of good thoughts and insight on graduating from demo to live. However, the trading strategy cannot exist in isolation to the market news flow. So, can anyone give some insights on how news influences your trading strategy? And may be, any specific example..

Based on my own experience, I can say that it's better to switch to trading with real money as soon as possible, maybe with a micro account, but at least you can psychologically adapt to losses.

Yes, sure, but demo-account is necessary for checking strategies and indicators

If you already reading trough a lot of posts you really should be able to open demo account anyway and start doing some trades not looking for other people opinions anyway. That way it will take no more amount than it needed for your trades and no less.

As long as the whole situation asking and required. So I do not understand why you even asking here, I would say thateven upto 1 year and no less than that. You really need to have an idea of what is going on, that's for sure. Some others here will confirm.

Trade in demo as long as you`re feeling the need of it but remember that even experienced traders are using demos for testing their new strategies.

I always advise trader to spend as much time on the demo account as they gain full confidence. If you spend six months on the demo account without losing money then you can start live trading with a smaller initial investment. Is it a good idea for the beginners guys?
