Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

Problem Plutus Trade Base (prop firm) account breach - unclear 2% per trade criteria

My experience with Plutus Trade Base has been extremely disappointing.

My funded account was closed after their automated system treated a 4-lot EURUSD position as more than $7,500 of risk because the stop loss was not attached at the exact moment the trade opened.

Their published rule simply says maximum 2% risk per trade. It does not clearly state that:
  • A stop loss must be attached at execution.
  • Any brief period without a stop is treated as maximum theoretical exposure.
  • The system can instantly issue a breach before a stop is added.

Support initially referred to margin usage, then total exposure, and eventually maximum theoretical exposure. Despite repeatedly requesting a formal review and the exact calculation, I was told the breach could not be escalated or reversed.

Attached a few screenshots of the email exchange with support.

Very disappointing,
they also promote good reviews in exchange for discounts on trustpilot, so far so that trustpilot has now flagged them for false reviews.
I would avoid this prop firm unless something changes.

Those are the latest replies on this issue from them?

Yes, and there's new developments.
I was reading other reviews about discrepencies about the 'best day' rule.
On their public FAQ's, it states 40%.
On their private FAQ's, behind the paywall, it states 15%.
I reached out to them about this discrepency and the reply was:

The 15% is out of date, it'll be updated.

Ok,
I read the contract:
15% is correct.

Raise that with support,
Oh ignore that, it's 40%.

Read further into the contract:
“PTB’s contract contains several material ambiguities that could affect payout eligibility. It states that a funded Lightning account is subject to a 15% variance limit, while assigning the 40% best-day rule to the Challenge Plan—despite PTB support repeatedly confirming in writing that Lightning is governed by 40% and that the 15% information is incorrect.

The contract also requires seven funded trading days but unusually defines a trading day as one where a position is opened and closed with a net account movement of at least ±0.5%, potentially excluding smaller profitable days. It gives PTB broad discretion to review, reduce or terminate accounts using an undefined internal ‘Risk Factor’ based on exposure, margin usage, volatility and average trade size, and allows payout eligibility to be reviewed if a trader’s funded strategy differs materially from the challenge.

PTB may also suspend payout processing during investigations and describes payouts as discretionary performance-based bonuses rather than contractual trading profits. Although the agreement provides a seven-day appeal window and says reviews may take up to 30 days, PTB has previously told customers that automated breaches cannot be escalated or reversed. Taken together, the contract gives the company significant discretion while leaving important payout rules unclear or internally inconsistent.”

See for yourselves.
