Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

Profit in 60 seconds?

This is an enquiry about an outfit named 'Profit in 60 seconds', and their 'recommended brokers'. I responded to an email inviting me to try a 30 day free trial, of the 'Profit in 60 seconds' binary options software. The software works on a 'probability of success of a put or call' choice. In order to get the free trial I had to open, and fund, a new account with one of their recommended brokers, a brokerage named lBinary. I opened and funded (£250 GBP) new account with lBinary and, and I'm still waiting for 'Profit in 60 seconds' to give me access to their software.

I have sent counless emails to Profit in 60 Seconds, but someone named Storm Russel (only one L ), contacted me saying that they can't find me on their database. I subsequently received a telephone call, here in the UK, from lBinary, offering me the services of one of their "senior brokers". Could there be a link between these two organisations? Have you ever heard of, or had experience of, either of these two organisations? I would be grateful for any guidance as I'm a complete novice in the Binary options / Forex fields.

Regards
Kingfisher

First and foremost, don't confuse forex with binary options. There's plenty of fraud in forex. There are plenty of bucketshops in forex. On the other hand, there are some honest forex brokers out there who don't trade against their clients.

For the most part, binary options is not much more than gambling with an unregistered, unregulated online casino. There's no such thing as a liquidity provider for binary options, so any profits you make come directly out of the broker's profits. That's why there are so many of these company that operate in deposit only mode.

Don't touch Lbinary with the proverbial barge pole. I think this is the way they got in touch with me - I had looked at some online course and then started receiving calls form Lbinary. I eventually gave in to the pressure of huge returns that were virtually a 'dead cert' and uploaded £250. Resist ALL attempts by them to get you to increase this amount. You will see on my post (still waiting for approval as I write) and the post by Paulm1162 called Lbinary Scam that our experiences are very similar. You will probably be told that on a particular day they have anything from 94% to 99% success rates but you need £3000 to get in but that will be 'guaranteed'. I had 100% failure rate following the advice of a 'Senior Trader'. There's also a risk that they will take more from your account than you authorise - see both my and Paulm1162's posts. If you want your money back they also require what can only be described as the perfect identity theft kit from you. Not that I'm saying they will do that of course but they will have your name, address, passport number, photo ID and copies of the front and back of your credit/debit card (INCLUDING CVV NUMBER). Why would they need that to refund you? I got a letter from my bank stating that the bank card belonged to me (which they accepted) and on a phone call I was still specifically asked for the CVV number as 'it will help us process the repayment.' Yeh, right. It'll help you with something sonny, but not a refund.

So Kingfisher, I hope this helps but whatever your decision, please tread very carefully.

Guys please all of you who have dealings with this company send an email to

Companies House Gibraltar

with all your invoices. They are filing for closure.
PLEASE If you do not stop them from closing down, your money will be gone or might go to Africa ...

Dear XXXXX

Thank you for your emails.

As the financial services regulator for Gibraltar, we supervise Europa Trust Company Limited FSC - Main Details and Europa Secretaries Limited FSC - Main Details.

These companies are licensed service providers. They incorporate companies for clients and provide services such as company secretaries and maintain registered offices, etc.

It appears that after losing contact with their client, namely Jeimer Alonso Mora Perez, the sole shareholder and director of Hortense Holdings Limited, Europa Secretaries Limited resigned as company secretary and filed a notice at Companies House to advise the latter that Hortense Holdings Limited had no authority to maintain its registered office at their address. In October 2013 we also issued a public notice regarding Hortense Holdings Limited Fortress Global Markets Sarl

Targaryen Holdings Limited was managed by another licensed company manager, namely Form-a-Co (Gibraltar) Limited FSC - Main Details.

Companies House now shows Targaryen as “Striking off by Request Pending” and Form-a-Co also filed a “Statement NO authority to maintain Registered Office address” on 11/11/2013. I have been advised that the application to strike off was filed in November 2013.

At the time we obtained company details for Targaryen from Companies House Gibraltar, its sole shareholder and director was Live Binary Limited, a Seychelles company of:

Trident Chambers

Capital City Building

PO Box 1388

Victoria

Mahe

Seychelles

Live Binary does sound closer to Lbinary.com. We can therefore see no apparent connection between the two companies, other than the pages cached by Google, which contain the odd statement, "Co-operated by Hortense Holdings Limited".

We were aware that Hortense operated hotoptions - Binary Options Trading - HotOptions, as per our public warning.
