The US stock market

Hello Everyone

Late sell offs seen the NASDAQ go into the "Red" dropping to a "Low" (4,275.61) before recovering slightly to (4308.12) -10.81 (-0.25%) at the "End of trading".

Both the Dow (16321.71 +49.06 +0.30%) & S&P 500 (1859.45 +5.16 +0.28%) ended the day back in the Green after they too seen late sell offs late in the day.

Gold in New York, which normally sets price trend on the domestic front, fell by 0.8 per cent to (1,321.60), while over at London, Bloomberg News and other outlets report that the "London gold fix", the benchmark used by miners, jewelers and central banks around the world to value the precious metal, may have been manipulated for a decade by the banks setting it. Unusual trading patterns around 3pm GMT, when the afternoon fix is set on a private conference call among five of the biggest gold dealers, are a sign of collusive behavior and should be investigated, according to a draft research paper.

Update:

Gold opened at 1334 and moved to a 5 month "High" (1349.98) as the world wait and watch the crisis unfold in the Crimea, increasing the demand for a safe-haven.

Current price: 1344.56

Hello Everyone

Breaking BBC News:

Russia's Black Sea Fleet has given Ukrainian forces in Crimea until 5:00 local time (03:00 GMT) on Tuesday to surrender or face an all-out assault, according to Ukrainian defence ministry sources quoted by Interfax-Ukraine news agency. "If by 5am tomorrow morning they do not surrender a real assault will begin on units and sections of the Ukrainian armed forces all over Crimea," defence ministry officials are quoted as saying. So far there is no further confirmation of the ultimatum from other sources.

Hi Liz.....as usual, your info on the US market are most helpful in trading the forex.

But as you know I trade almost exclusively on the AUD/USD & EUR/AUD and, as such, would appreciate info on what's on your indicator on these two pairs.
P/S Would appreciate further still if you can most that on my thread for easy reference:p

Thank you my friend and all the best.
