Why EA's don't work - except maybe...

When I first started learning to trade they called the search for the perfect indicator or system, looking for the holy grail.

It was now as it was then a fruitless search that never ends.

Today's search for the perfect EA is part of that same fruitless endless search.

So has anyone considered that systems or EAs may be effective during some market conditions, and horrible in other conditions. Google "stationarity".

If you change your thinking you might see EAs with a different eye. Perhaps multiple EAs? Perhaps money management "of" multiple EAs?

Once you let go of that word "perfect", you begin to substitute other words for performance, and your search for EAs takes on a new light.

Good luck and enjoy the process.
