Hello,

I have been contacted by Adwise Strategy, a legal firm which claims to be able to retrieve funds that have been scammed from investors in fraudulous forex brokers. I find little but a website about them.

1. Does anyone have had a positive reference about them?
2. Does anyone know who is running it and where they are located ?

Regards,

Matt.

This company has been established just in June....
Their Registrant name is by proxy......
There is no further information, no matter how much you search for something.
The address given seems to be a maildrop, resp. some accountant office, possibly the one who registered the company in the UK

I'd be very cautious handing them any information. It could well be that they just gather information and promise the blue from the sky for a fee.... and in the end feel sorry for an unsuccessful attempt to recover funds on behalf of a client...

Read again every page of this funky company
No names given, no managers, no officers of the company.... naaa.., this one can't be real or honest.

The language..... the typos.... it's just plain horrible and reminds me of African 419 scammers with millions of cash in boxes..

They ask for your email and phone number.... and you be wondering where all the mails and phone calls come from in the future.
I personally wouldn't touch it with a 9 foot pole....

There really is an Adwise Strategy Ltd in the UK. You can look up company 09092010 here.

http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk//wcframe?name=accessCompanyInfo

They only registered in June of 2014 and may not be the same as the website.

Thx Joa & Pharao

Thanks for looking into that. Theer is indeed very little info to gather.

Are there in fact any legitimate companies that do specialise in retrieving funds from malafide brokers?

Regards,

Matt

Ask the if they really are company 09092010 and who their directors are.

Consider a lawyer instead. I've seen AsstMod posting about GiambroneLaw. I don't know how good they are, but at least you can compare their upfront fees. They've also been in business for a lot longer than Adwise.

I would consider you what Pharaoh did, there is a lawyer that asstmod is recommending.

There are many lawyers out there, get a quote and compare all parameters

I fully agree, get the names of the directors and that's about the minimum.....
If they act as they advertise... then they must have employed or contracted lawyers... get their names too.

It is my gut feeling that this is not as honest as it comes across.
10% seems like a pittance when you lost money. There is no guarantee of course that you'll ever get a dime back.
I'd recommend utmost caution with offers like that, particularly when they are not forthcoming with info.
