I don't really know where to put this but I've been looking at doing some basic mining.
Currently got BTC running but it's only a tiny amount every day.
Is there something that has a better return?

I have been invited by someone for mining Pi through a smartphone, but because seems this software makes battery consumption increase, then I decided to uninstall the application, but as I know Pi is not yet launched in Mainnet, and currently has no value.

Mining days are gone

Yeah due to high competition and elevated hash rates you are unlikely to make money with little experience. Mining needs large investments currently you have to consider this important point.
