Last friday I traded the Swedish Retail Sales.
Got out at break even.

That was my last trade of the month, so here is my statement for June:

With the horrible four losses in a row at the first week of the month, I managed to make a little profit of +5% at the end of the month.

Today I traded the Japanese Tankan Man. Index.
I had to close this trade before the US ISM Man. Index came out, so I got out at

+17 pips

While the JP Tankan trade was open, I simultaneously traded the Australian Interest Rate Statement.
Made a win from this one.

+30 pips

Nice starting of the month. Finally worked back my whole drawdown with these trades, current balance is at $4.253

Lets make some money tomorrow and thursday

Traded the AU RBA Gov. Stevens Speech today.
There were only 30 minutes to trade this report,
because I had to close it before the Australian Retail Sales.
I still decided to enter the market, because the initial push was so hard,
and it had a good chance of continuation.

The continuation didn't arrive by time, so I got out with

-5.5 pips

It was definitely worth the try.

After it this morning I traded the Swedish Interest Rate.
Surprisingly, they cut their rate by 0.5%, and this produced an over 100pip spike.
Yet it wasn't a good trade and I was very unfortunate..
The price touched my stop loss, and rallied right after it.

-15 pips

After it, I traded the US Non-Farm Payrolls.
Had to close this trade before the US ISM Non-Man. PMI came out,
so I only made

+5 pips

I'm proud because somebody who just registered on this forum, wrote his first post into MY topic :D

You are awesome, keep it up :)

No trades taken this week.

Also I was on a vacation, and I chose the best week for it, because nothing happened :)

Looks like you are on a slow and steady path towards your USD1m target ;)

...hehehe...based on your monthly trades record, I was a little curious to know how long it's going to take you to reach your target and, minus all the compound factors, I did a very simple calculation using averages:p

Total % gains for 6 months (minus negative ones): 114%
Average % gain per month = 19%
Total average gain per year= 228%

Starting capital: USD1,487.00 Target profits USD: 1m = 67,249.50% gain

Total years to reach USD1m = 67,249.50 :- 228 = 29.50 years

No offense meant here at all, but just friendly discussion on how long it might take you to reach that elusive (for FPA members) USD1m target based on your present trading records

Thank you for your calculations.

But why did you calculate without the compound interest?

It has the most power of all... and of course I am using it as I mentioned at my first post.

so, with compound interest 1.487 x 1.19 x 1.19..... it will be exactly 38 months to reach my target.

Balance was 3.456 dollars at the starting of the month, so it will be 29 months from now.

And it's "only" 19% because I had **** months, I won't have **** months all the time.

We will see :)

Thanks

And traded the Canadian Interest Rate on Wednesday.

This month is around zero again.
These are one of the best news with approx. 90% success rate... I wonder when news trading will be good again for me.
Still sticking to my strategy and won't abandon it.
