Mt4 volume

Could anyone assist me. What does the forex volume figure on mt4 platform denotes...the figure displayon the left top of teh vol window.
Do they denotes,1= 1 std lot contract?

The volume figure in MT4 denotes tick volume. It's measuring the number of ticks during the given time frame. So it is not measuring actual order flow volume. Probably not what you were hopeing to hear.
