Price delay with offshore broker

Could just be server lag. Have you tried using a vps based closer to where the broker are based?

If this happens from time to time, than it might be some technical issue with your broker. If it happens all the time, than just change the broker, cause this should not be usual with brokers.

I do not think it happens so often. If that does happen, you would be actually be able to predict the price and make money. It might have been a temporary problem with their server.

maybe they just had temporary problems..

Maybe you can use different data speed to trade and take advantage of them, observe broker with fast data speed and then move to broker with slower data speed and then open trades, but maybe this is less effective trading because the difference is very small

I lately found out that my offshore broker sometimes has a more then 10second delay in price for extended periods compared to the regulated ones.
Any idea what could be the cause of this?

Delays do happen but shouldn’t happen all the time

It depends on the quote provider the broker uses. Latency does not mean that the broker is a scammer.

quite offshore brokers just go for a regulated one

Such lags can happen in every broker, no matter is it offshore or so called regulated one. If you don`t believe the search the web about the IC markets Bitcoin manipulation lately. Not a lag but a pure manipulation. So there`s no such brokers like regulated or not, just a good and bad ones.
