Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

    More info coming soon.

Problem SecuredOptions - Scam alert

I am having an issue with a company
Yes. Action Fraud UK is one of the channel I'm targeting but only after I'm sure the consolidated impact will garnish attention. If I raise a report now with impact of $10K, vs a consolidated one of $1Mil. Which one do you think will get priority.

I need to assume those guys have thousands of cases on their hands and there will be some sort of filtering to sieve out those they should tackle 1st. $$ should be a good guess. It could not be a 1st come 1st serve.

Truth is the ultimate defense if a company claims libel. In all the time I've been at the FPA, I've seen only 1 instance of a broker suing over something at the FPA. That was a post slamming a broker with nothing to back the claim up and no followup from the alleged client to questions.

I was conversing with 2 other victims on facebook on the same situation, and that was more than 2 weeks ago. Now I'm blocked off from their facebook page.

If you have like 20-30 mins time on hand, you can read through the below article. This was shared with me by members from other forum discussions. It depicts how majority of the binary options or forex scams are being carried out in Israel. So the account manager you have been talking to, could very well be working out of Israel. Or does his/her accent, or anyone from SecuredOptions you have talked to, sounded like Israeli accent? We could narrow down their rat nest.

We could very well relate to most of the stuffs explained in this article, this might even give us some idea on how we want to proceed with our next step.

This is one of the big law firm that is currently taking legal actions against a few big and rampant binary options companies. I have attached the claim form, do go ahead and submit your details, we could possibly take this down the class action road with sufficient victims coming forward, and the legal fees might be significantly smaller than going forward alone.

Some of the authorities I have in mind to raise this to, once the consolidated list has reached a significant number:

1) Your own country's Financial or Online Regulatory bodies and the police (you can go ahead and do this by yourself, but once you have done that, forward me the case reference number and which authority you submit your complain to, I can update this in the master list). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_financial_regulatory_authorities_by_country
2) econsumer.gov, a US based but international body for submitting online scams.
3) Financial Conduct Authority UK (FCA) since their store front is so called located in London.
4) Action Fraud UK.

The above actions so far, if they are any help at all, most probably will help to close down SecuredOptions if the investigation reveals that they are operating fraudulently. However, in terms of our money wise, we might still not be getting them back.
Some probable channels to help get our money back:
1) Winchargeback.com (http://www.winchargeback.com/). They have several plans to cater to victims, one of the attractive one is no win, no fee plan. However they can only assist if your investment is more than USD4,500 and by credit/debit cards. Less than USD4,500 or by money wire transfer, they are unable to assist for now. I am currently trying out this channel.
2) Giambrone Law Firm (http://www.giambronelaw.com/forex-litigation-lawyers.html). They are currently representing a large number of victims in other Forex/Binary scams against rouge brokers. My recent enquiry as an individual submitter, found that the upfront fee is GBP2000 + 15% of any recovered funds. But this is not a guaranteed win. The amount of investment lost from any of us doesn't leave this as an option for now. I am currently inquiring about a class action law suit costs to see if it makes more sense for us as a whole group.

Some reading materials, looks like SecuredOptions could probably be located in Israel (Those guys come to work at GMT+8 1.00-2.00pm my timezone, which is around 8.00am-9.00am in Israel, so sound about right). The last article most probably hits closer to home than anything else. Take some time to digest them.

In the meantime I will continue to keep you all posted regularly on any development.

I will follow up with some of the options you have given, especially winchargeback.
I think a lot of people have been scammed by Secured Options, but many don't know what paths they can follow. We don't want more people to fall into Secured Options trap & lose their hard earned money.
It seems the brokers are just trained to scam and cheat people right from the start, with no intention to give any money back.
