Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

    More info coming soon.

I got my money back!!

No thanks at all to Colin's Club, however. After complying with every little demand that they made, and even after pointing out to them that they offer a 100% risk-free guarantee (which they were quick to bury in caveats after the fact), they still said they'd require a full month to review a single sheet of paper. As I said earlier, Visa would not offer a charge back because it was a subscription service that I willingly entered into, so I eventually managed to get in touch with SWREG, the company that processed my payment.

They state that the vendor has two days to make good on the refund, otherwise they'll pursue a different course of action. I gave it three days, just to be sure, and then sent another email to SWREG saying that Colin's Club had not yet honored their refund. I then received an email from SWREG stating that the refund had been processed. I just checked my VISA statement, and the money has been returned!

What an ordeal, and an unnecessary one too. If Colin's Club would simply honor the guarantee they place on their website instead of a shady bait and switch, they'd have far fewer complaints and a much improved reputation.

You're not going to believe this...

I just checked my visa statement, and the day after I was issued the refund I was charged AGAIN! I called Colin's Club and asked just what they thought they were doing, and they simply said that they disputed the refund and SWREG allowed them to charge my card again.

I called Visa, and they assured me that I would get my money back as they charged my card without my knowledge or consent, but I want to take this further with SWREG. I've emailed them and let them know that what they're doing constitutes an illegal act, so I'm waiting to hear back from them. It's comforting knowing that visa will return my money (within 30-45 days), but I'm furious as I thought this ordeal was over.

Worst purchase experience of my life. Avoid this company like the plague.

Make sure to point out to your issuing bank and to SWREG that this appears to be a fraudulent charge.

Colin Atkins New Scam?

Webinar today. I googled the address on the email I recieved and came up with Colin Atkins. "pip magic" "double trigger system""system 500" Names that also came up tony sue eric. I have searched this forum and found many negative things about these people. The webinar today is "copylivetrades.com". Are these the same people? Are they a scam? Thanks

Looks like a Scam

It looks like a scam… see why:

1) After 1 day lauching the “exclusive limited spaces” for traders… 53 spaces still available (that number doesnt vary across all the day)

2) They have an affiliate program for sellers, so this guys doesnt matter about exclusivity and limited spaces for an adecuate mentorship as they claim…. They are sellers, and what they want is to sell as much as possible… other reason… why an AFFILIATE PROGRAM if they claim that they can only support limited trader spaces.
See EXCLUSIVE Partner Invite - Make A Killing On 8 November!

3) They have a tipical Sellers Page, so much different from Trades Webs Page:
- They dont mention anything about trading method (trading time frame, trading methodology, initial account, any clue about TRADING ¡¡¡…. all is SELLING). So the potencial client dont have any idea about their basic trading system… Why hidden their basic trading methodology???.

4) They claim for a COPY AND TRADE system, but in the initial they say, that they dont offer a signal service and dont have any responsability about your trades.

5) After you accept their program… as SELLERS… they offer you a hype TRADINGS SOFTWARE… for aditional value or “platinium membership” (Big pipper, inferno softwares…). So hidden costs, …. They claim that robots are useless… and soon they try to sell you some of them…???¡¡¡ …

6) I dont know anything about their Previus Records of Trading Experience (they claim 15 years experience)…How do they support it??.. do your work… google it.

7) Their track trading records are not a proof… Its possible to do it with any edition program… They should use their own trading broker account or using http://www.myfxbook.com (hidden sensitive information). That way, it would be a trusted executed trade record

I dont know anything about their reffund money back guarantee..

Hope this info help you to decide

Pd. Hey you dont need to get involved (give & lost your money) or be "negative" as Lazaro states to catch a scam.. Just analyze

Pd. You dont need to get involved (BE A MEMBER and give them your money) to see a scam... Other way you wont see your money back again...

Again and again I dont know why this "wonder trades" dont offer a FREE TRADING SPACE for some days (not a month) WITHOUT REQUESTING YOUR CREDIT CARD... So, they wont have any problems with their IRON CLAD GUARANTEE...They will be more trusted.
and of course if they are so profitable as they claim, traders after this period wont hesitate to be their members after a FREE PERIOD OF PROOF WITHOUT CREDIT CARD REQUESTING.
This way traders will promote your system moth to mouth... without needing a affiliate program.... why dont you challenge us doing it??? THAT WILL BE A REAL IRON CLAD GUARANTEE, and a real confidence about what you offer

Hey and Happy Monday,

Just wanted to give you an update that the guys who I
emailed you about before (the same traders who picked
up over 28,000 pips in 16 months) have officially gone
live with their Forex solution:

http://netpicks.com/copylive

They're saying that all you need to do is spend a few
minutes a day, watching and copying the two head
traders and that's about it. Looks promising.

If you're interested, check it out of if you have a
second.

Good Trading,

Mark Soberman

I have spent a few hours just following the trail and i would like to share my own conclusons

I just hope that anyone who is looking for good reputable traders, to learn from or to take an interest in, and ultimately create an income from , takes a good look at the attached screen shots, and the previous threads, to help make a decision about whether you should hand over your precious money and put faith into the men in these photographs.

WHO ARE THESE MEN?
WHY IS THE SAME PICTURE FOR THE MAN IN THE SUIT COPY AND PASTED ON DIFFERENT WEBSITES?

I have been to seminars, and read plenty of different trading website, just as many other people do.

And honestly , there is a certain image or photo fit that goes with people who are established in the trading education / service industry.

In the UK we have car boot sales, in the US i dont know what they are called, may be jumble sales or junk sales, where people sell their used household junk, or fake watches or super cheap packs of batteries.

I can say without any doubt whether you may think i am being judgemental or not, i do not care for political correctness.

The men who go by the names of Colin Atkins, and Tony Brown, and the photos that go with them are most certainly not professional traders,

HOWEVER i have probably seen a face like theirs before, in a car boot sale, or in a dark grimey car repair garage or double glazing windows showroom, or stale meat market stall and believe me, these type of people take absolute pleasure when they take your cash for a service that they know is a total rip off, fully well knowing that your'e not going to be able to get your money back if your not happy with it.

Many people listen to their instinct when they choose to buy something expensive , and some people decide impulsively, i have done both. Its human nature.
If you are brand new to trading and do not know which way to go, at least read these forums, and you will get a feel of who is respected and who is not.

Remember, they are not asking for $49.99 they are asking for $499.99

If you listen to the accent of the man in the introduction video which lasts for a massive 30 mins or so from IMPORTANT: Watch This Short Presentation Before We're Forced To Remove It...

He says his name is Adrian Scott and is from the UK.

I am from the UK, and yet the price is quoted in US $ rather than £ GBP

That raises my suspicion immediately, because if i am buying something from someone who is from the UK, then the price should be in £GBP , and like wise if i am buying something from ebay from a seller in the US, their prices should be in $US

Both Colin Atkins and Tony Brown both have twitter profiles, again, the same stinking photos are copy and pasted again.

I have attached the screen shots of the websites I found their photos and names linked to.

These are most likely their aliases, and i would be completely unsurprised if they were subscribed to another signal service , which they are piggy backing, and syphoning another income stream through their live trading subscriptions.

When you think about the return on investment you can make, in a number of months..... 90 subscribers is what Tony the live administrator was claiming in earlier threads,

In late 2008-2009 i followed via Henry Liu, MR X's trading room.

Whether Mr X is Henry or not, it does not matter, Henry is someone that you could trust, he is well known and established.

And even buying and selling his trading triggers in the room was not an easy ride and he never claimed anything he could not support.

I am just giving one example .. there are dozens out there.

I have been a victim of scams, and the feeling you get when you know you've been naive enough to fall into the trap, just leaves you feeling nothing less than stupid.

The worst ones tend to be internet marketers, and they are the easiest to fall for.

I would have pasted more photos directly into this thread but for some reason i cannot , think it is something to do with using my Linux UBUNTU platform. Hopefully the attachments will show properly

The forum has a maximum allowance of 5 attachments, so here is just a sample

Spot on

Was just gonna jump on here and post that I've received about twenty(!) affiliate links for the CopyLiveTrades site

It is same dudes as Colin Atkins trading room and they're hyping this one to the max.

Must be better money than trading...awesome since they claim 28000 pips so far

maximum suspicion when I saw the photo of Colin Atkins looking like a dodgy car salesman and a chap called Tony...

I see the good people here have already spotted these scam mongers.
keep it up.

And by the way I also received a 'special invite' in the POST (snail mail) for

'CASH HURRICANE' with a handwritten post-it note saying "THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!) (no kidding)
and a web address

exciting! I looked at the web address and guess who's smug face I saw??
Yep
Colin Atkins... (was a link to his trading room page)

Previously I had requested info from them (before reading these reviews) and when I didn't join and stopped replying I got dozens of emails basically saying 'why haven't you joined yet??'. Sell sell sell... desperate or greedy. Not the actions of someone busy making 28000 pips...??

thanks again FPA
