Some people take a long time to learn their lessons. So recovery room scammers take advantage of this. Some cases the original scammer (broker) is involved in the scam via IB or other contractor.

The whole case is due to the ignorance of most of the public to the different business models of an OTC brokerage. The overwhelming majority of companies run casino-style operations. And they specifically target clients with gambling impulses.

After 2 months I have denounced eToro and their agent Tali Salomon to the Police.
I am waiting for to get the refund, but I hope they will lose their license and will stop to use stupid tricks about money laudring to f*** their own clients.

After almost 3 months the process vs Etoro is opened in Spain at Criminal Court and have been asked the intervention of Cyprus Police for the European Union Mutual Assistance Principle.

You were originally ripped off for over 70k EUR. Then you got some partial refunds over $20k back (very likely due to some FPA exposure...you're welcome btw).

You can also try to go it alone. But especially with Cyprus broker, I would use Mikov's experience. But Cyprus law can be tricky to navigate. I don't know why you are crying about $1200 when you initially threw away 70k. IMO this is not a logical choice.....However, it is entirely your choice.

So just to summarize, how much total did eToro give you back so far?

they blocked my account on 11th of march, later again on 30th of march and closed the account and gave me only a partial refund (40%) on 11th of april.
They still have 35.487,24€
