Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

    More info coming soon.

Problem Liberty Reserve is off!

I am having an issue with a company
Damon.. while i'm with you 100%, let's step back and take a look at things.... a simple analogy... When it comes to trading, every trader knows that the institutions is where the power is.. the power to move the markets... In such a situation, the best way for us retail traders to survive is to move with the smart money. (So when Gold prices drop... even if you/we know the value of Gold, would you dare go Long on Gold in a speculative trade???)

Its the same case don't you think in real life?

I don't know/care what fancy term the new department in the US comes up with... but here's a simple truth.. if there's anything.. and I mean ANYTHING that comes in the way of threatening the US Govt.'s way of thinking, it won't last long. (I bet Bitcoin will be next... maybe 3 - 5 years)

So there's just two simple choices.. you either go with the flow.. which is use a 'legit/recognized' ewallet system and stay below the radar or just don't use one. Or heck.. use something that is Chinese... atleast they have the 'b@lls' to stand up to Uncle Sam!

I think when it comes to your money people will choose #1 :)

There are bound to be a number of lawyers offering services. Considering that the US Government is busy grabbing bank accounts, it's going to be quite some time before anyone sees any money. I'm not sure how helpful a lawyer will be under these circumstances.

Of course, if one of these lawyers would like to join the discussion and share how this would work, I'm sure I wouldn't be the only person paying attention.

Considering that some of the confiscated accounts were in Cyprus banks, some of the funds were probably "acquired" by the government of Cyprus before the US grabbed the remaining money.

Give it 4 or 5 years and account holders who can't be tied to anything even remotely suspicious might be able to get back a modest percentage of their deposits.
