CySEC said to contact the Cyprus Ombusman or seek a civil court judgment. I spoke with a local lawyer here, but he said that I should not even bother with the courts in Cyprus as the law practice in negative when it comes to been a victim due to brokers scams as is the traders fault for opening trades with such brokers.

Hi Deltoid88! Thank you for your reply and for sharing all the info with us regarding the updates you have! Much appreciated! I am also a victim of the same WTI Tickmill scam under SySEC. I am reading your posts for guidance for very long time as I mentioned before. CySEC kindly have said to me that they don't deal with individual complaints as the law does not allow them, unless a large number of victims of the same scam contacts them, otherwise they can't do anything as is not part of their obligations as regulator of CIFs to deal with individual people's complaints. I think only if many traders come forward together and open a united class action lawsuit agians Tickmil and other such brokers related to WTI price scam things with gain publicity and maybe we win in court and stop such bad practises by regulated brokers. I will wait with interest future updates regarding your case with Tickmill as seems the FSA have more powers to deal with individual complaints then CySEC does.

I sent my case to FCA regulator too, but they could not take it since my account is under FSA. If you could ask CySEC will it be worthy to send them my case too, will they be willing to investigate it? You should mention that my account is under FSA. Could you ask them how many traders they need exactly to be able to investigate as group complaint, please? Do they count traders which account are not under CySEC?

Trust me, there is no one worse than FSA regulator! They just pretend they do their job, while in reality they do nothing! They just make you to wait with hope you will eventually give up, that is how they protect their brokers. I am sure that if complaint do not have good ground, they would reply faster than it should. Complete fraud of regulator! I plan to start lawsuit against them as well. No one who defends Tickmill's scam should get away with it! I know from personal experience that FCA can help for real, that is best regulator and possible only regulator that actually can help trader who suffered fraud by broker.

I will send an email to CySEC to find out more info about what are the posibilities and if you can also contact them as well so maybe we start a petition and find out how many people are affected and join forces. My claim is for over 10 000 euros, I know yours is 3 times more I am sure we can get other people together and will come maybe to millions in total claims in the end.

So what happened? What is the status? I was planning to open an account with Tickmill but what you faced is an obvious scam if your opening price is an actual market price but the closing one is not.

Yes, obvious scam, yet I am not able to recover my funds. FSA regulator is useless, they just ignore my attempts to contact them, 2 years have passed since I started my complain and still no valuable respond from them. Way to go is to go directly on courts in Seychelles, but it is unknown field how even these courts can you trust. I will try. Tickmill Ltd still did not pay me anything they owe me.

I strongly advise not to open account with Tickmill, it is fraudulent broker. They steal on each big forex position too, it is not just this issue with oil.

For me best broker is Exness, even though I have one issue unresolved with them too. Still, best trading conditions, instant withdrawals regardless of the amount. I would really appreciate FPA intervention regarding my issue with Tickmill. This company should be marked as scam company here on your website. We can not count on FSA regulator, its scam regulator too. @AsstModerator @4evermaat

Excellent work, Stefan. I've read entire thread. I admire your efforts in exposing these scammers. I am saddened that you have not managed to get your profits you supposed to.

I have now permanently crossed out Tickmill from list of brokers I will ever do business with. Thanks to you.
Tickmill, what a horrible scamming example, what you did with price of oil in 2020. I know now which broker to avoid!
