There is a distinction between "registered" and "regulated". If this company is registered in Australia to carry out trading activities, it apparently doesn't come under ASIC regulator because the company has not gone through the stringent process of the ASIC requirements.
But a word of warning that even ASIC regulated brokers (as I recently have found out with an ASIC regulated broker ICMarkets) can manipulate your trading account which are very difficult to prove due to the virtual plug-in which are present in all MT4 trading platform. Also, most brokers have servers located in many countries and they can manipulate your trading conditions by quietly switching you to one of their servers which have much wider spreads and slow trade executions to "help" their client's accounts to get wipe-out much faster. If the affected client happens to keep good record & have proofs of broker manipulation tactic, the broker "apologize" with some cock-and-bull story and "generously" reimburse the "lost" money.
All that you need to do have already been adequately addressed in above posts and you will have to keep this thread going and see what else can be done to recover your money.
