It seems like if people just run to FPA and open a scam file for stuff like this, it will really dull the effect of complaining on FPA...

Sometimes people need to be a little slower at jumping in and yelling scam. Other times, it takes a company rep stepping in to get a real issue past the 1st level support people who may not be able to fix a real problem in a timely fashion.
