Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

    More info coming soon.

Problem MexBank - MexGroup

I am having an issue with a company
No wire

I had funds begin trading after the November losses. They were not effected by the so called ACM manipulation. I requested those funds and they were supposed to come in April. It is now June and they have not been sent. I am given excuses that cannot be verified. From what I know, Mexbank is still allowing funds to come in, but won't send funds out. I will keep you updated as to whether I get my funds. Be aware!

no wire

I am in the same position. Noriga states that the accts. were frozen in November 2008. I wasn't told about the situation until April 2009 when the funds never arrived.

This whole MBFX is a sad situation and it is not getting any better that I can see. There are many frustrated people out there not getting the information they need.

Murph

Unable to withdraw Funds that were deposited after November losses

FYI: Anyone who is thinking about opening a Mexbank account should know that as of now you will not be able to withdraw your money. I requested money back in April and still haven't gotten my wire.

BE AWARE!

I will keep you posted when I receive my money

Perhaps we gave them a spectacular no-interest loan )

I think we will be extremely lucky to get anything back. This is the second time I've "invested" in a managed Forex account and I'm done. The very nature of it - scads of easy money and no inventory or checks and balances - tickles the human kleptomania button. At the very least you should just get off your ass and do the trades yourself, and with play money only. It can become serious money if you do it right, but at least it's just gravy.

This is perverse thought - but at this stage it's all perverse - what would stop creative offshore minds from masterminding the whole scenario to take advantage of the market upswing over the past few months, and basically getting a spectacular no-interest loan from us? If we're lucky enough to get back even a portion of our principals, we'll still be kissing their feet. I wouldn't be surprised if some key or vocal investors have been compensated.
Unless you're standing IN the shoes of those in the middle of it all you cannot know the truth. So you can only "suck it and see."

Also, assuming MB are honest, I bet they'll argue they're not liable for our principals despite their advertised "stop loss", because of a third party letting them down. But since their record is so stellar, and their emails appear earnest, wouldn't it be nice if they diverted a portion of future trading profits to a special fund to allow investors to recoup their investment, at least up to the stop loss ...

Somehow, I hear someone somewhere reading this and laughing very loud, while sipping a martini on a beach.

I should frame my worthless "guarantee check" from my first investment 10 years ago and stick on my wall to remind me not to be so uncreative with my time and resources.

MexBank and a gone bad hedge fund

This issue has been resolved to my satifaction at this point.

Concerns

We are all hoping that what Mexbank is telling us is true, but I highly doubt it. Everything seems to be extremely fishy. Nothing that we are being told can be verified. I deposited funds to begin trading in December, not knowing that the November losses was going to happen. Although my funds were unaffected by the November losses, I cannot withdraw my money. I requested my funds back in April. Mexbank claims that there is a hold on my funds. I have had conversations with Juan Carlos Harris, Adolfo Noriega, and Jeffrey Steven Coffman and they all said that the hold on the funds would be lifted shortly. This was in May. Juan Carlos called me on July 14 with the same story, and I requested that he get me some information to verify Mexbank’s validity. He told me it would be no problem and he’d get me the information. As of yet, he has not gotten me any information. In August Clifton Oram, my financial advisor, called me with “good news.” He told me that he spoke with his contacts in Mexico and they again told him the hold would be lifted shortly. I asked him who his contacts were. Any guesses as to what his answer was? It was Adolfo and Gary Mccduff. Are these credible sources? It seems to me Mexbank is in trouble, possibly because they used my money for something other then foreign exchange, and therefore don’t have the money to send back to me. What other explanation is there? Those who did not get duped in November are getting duped now. Also, as of lately I cannot get Mexbank to respond to my e-mails. I have information that indicates that Mexbanks story is not entirely true. The ex-employee of ACM, who is supposedly helping Mexbank in the court case, says that there is no way Mexbank had more than $8 million in trading. I am pretty sure Mexbank had much more than $8 million of investors money. What is going on here is wrong. Peoples lives are getting ruined, even those who didn’t lose money in November. I am doing the best I can with what I have. I’m trying to help my Dad, who did loss in the November losses. My Dad was financially sound and retired but is now back to work because of this mess. Me, on the other hand, being a quadriplegic not to my own fault, receive a settlement to live off of my whole life. With the price of living and the way inflation works I knew I would need to invest that; which made me fall pray to this scam. I would just like some answers. I will keep everyone posted as to if my wire comes. If it does, it may give Mexbank some credibility. My e-mail is mr_right1983@hotmail.com. If I think my information will help me and my Dad get our money back I will share it.

Update-No reply on emails

I am very concerned. I still have not received my wire and I cannot get Mexbank to respond to any of my emails. If there is anyone already proceeding in legal action or has information please email me. It is critical to my situation that I get this money back.
